I love that Dad’s poking out his tounge in the candid wedding photo. It’s my favourite. Ok… now to explain the reason for the post. I was clearing out the art room and I came across my boxes of photographs… yep, I said boxes. I’d borrowed my baby pictures from mum and had been storing them in a little white box. So to completely distract myself from the task at hand (cleaning) I sat down and put them in an album.
I love seeing how young they were, just like me and Steve. Going off on thier own adventures, having crazy hairdos and walking around the house naked. It gives me some perspective and makes thier lessons sink a little deeper, because they really were just like us. They were young once too. I’m so happy thier marriage is strong, though distance often separated them. I’m glad they were my role models of marriage and love in all its forms.
Mum will finally be joining Dad in Newcastle in the next week or so now that Stephanie has finally moved in with her boyfriend Josh. Stephanie will be staying to live in Townsville and Mum & Dad are looking forward to the reencarnation of thier pre-baby selves. I salute them for their 20 or so years of childrearing and wish them the best. Apparently the plan is to buy a BMW, upgrade the yacht, buy new furniture and travel to germany for a holiday.
Go Mum & Dad!!!
