The railings were a little fiddly to paint but thankfully I could do most of it with a roller. I touched up corners and things with a small foam brush. It took all morning (8-12) to do, but it’s completed for now.
Notice the Rocking Chair all negelected. Well, I went to Clarke Rubber today and asked for 7omm foam cut to the shape of the cushions. They had no stock… I had to wait till Tuesday. Soooo not fair. I was prepared and had cash and everything. Oh well… I’ll be painting the chair purple to match the cot and I found blue, pink and orange fabric (similar to Amy Butlers blue and orange fabric) at spotlight on sale for the cushions. Yay!!!
… and jazz it up I did. Now before you start compiling hate mail in your pretty little heads, I took this pic at night with flash AND I’ve only managed to do one coat so far. The picture below is a better representation.
Alice was lovely enough to help me paint the cot. I decided to grab her out of her PJs and out of the house for some constructive chatter and her added elbow grease. She was nice enough to obligue. It was a really nice afternoon, chatting away, purple paint going everywhere 😛
So there you go. Thats what I did today, all day. I’m sure my right arm will fall off tomorrow… or I’ll gain a massive bicep 😛 See how big the cradle is… it’s almost as big as Steves bike!!! I’m really happy with my colour choices and I feel good keeping my hands and mind busy. I’m missing Steve like crazy now it’s night time. I’ll have to hug my hot water bottle for warmth and comfort 🙁
