Before you all start composing shocked comments in your pretty little heads, don’t fret… the colours wont actually be that bright. I don’t want the kid to think its been slipped drugs. The main point of the exercise is to visualise the eventual room and its contents… the colours were just a bit of fun and not an exact science.
Personally I’m not one for pastel coloured nurseries and I don’t like commercial images eg: pooh bear, mickey mouse, cinderella and especially not noahs ark. I do like animals but I dont want that to be the ‘theme’. I want it to be modern but not souless. This room would easily grow with a little girl or boy and existing furniture will be utilised.
I’m loving the art work above Zak’s cot. It would be so easy to do. Maybe not as big, say maybe 3-5 frames. I could do one a silohette of a labrador, my fave Kal print (not telling which), a tree silohette, one with inspirational words and as a special touch, I could get a sketch done of me and steve (at the markets) and frame it.
I think I put my finger on the pulse when I told Dani “It’s the one thing I can control”… I didn’t realise it was true until I heard myself say it. With all the negative things I could be feeling, I’m glad Im feeling the positive.
