I decided to break away from the computer for a couple of hours and go for a walk. I’m one of those exceptionally lazy people that require a purpose to walk other than exercise and how good it would be for me. So I went hunting for knitting needles. I walked to the South Windsor Op Shop and once there forgot it’s closed on Wednesdays. I might apply as a volunteer to keep the shop open on wednesdays. I’m familiar with all the ladies now and I practically live next door.
So the OpShop was closed so I went to my second favourite store, a cheap variety shop filled with stuff shipped in from asia. I’m friendly with the lady working there too and she suggested I go to the OpShop in Windsor first as they’d be practically free. That sounded good I decided. I set off and got to the crossroads. My House. Windsor.
Now I was wearing my very practical winter shoes, but not very comfortable for walking long distances. I could walk home and change into my practical walking shoes aka: thongs and probably end upconvincing myself I needed the car… OR I could just keep walking in the shoes I was in and see how I go. Lets just say I made a very foolish mistake.
By the time I got to the train station I was in agony but kept walking, I was by this point, determined to walk. I made it to the OpShop and they had EXACTLY what I needed. My feet on the otherhand, didn’t quite make it in one piece. I ended up forfeiting the fight and caught the bus home. I just couldn’t walk another step.
So now I have rubbed some sorbaline cream on them and put my feet up. I’ve drank a bottle of water and had a madarin to perk me up. I’m going to sit quietly and read my books and hopefully be a pro knitter by dinnertime.
