I should explain what it is… they’re hibiscus (a type of flower) pickled in a syrup of raspberry & rhubarb. You put the flower in the bottom of the jar, pour in a little syrup, then pour in the bubbly. The bubbles open up the flower which you can also eat. Very Cool. You can buy jars of 50 flowers as well, just use the above link to find the online store. Anyway I’ll let you all know how it goes. They will be a stunning way to get the party started!
Oh so sexy! I went to my local florist to see what kind of flowers she had before I checked out the larger florist across town. She didn’t have any I liked but she did have a jar of these on the counter and I couldn’t resist. I’ve seen them in heaps of wedding mags but I’d never had the chance to try them. There is 11 in one jar so that’s plenty for two dinner parties. Steve can just miss out next time, it’s ok he’s not a big champagne person.
