Instead of ugly ash trays I used tiny terracotta pots that I found half buried in a garden bed when we first moved in. I think the owners have a thing for cacti and succulents. I picked up the table for $3 at a garage sale and it’s been my best outdoor furniture investment yet.
This is where I want the outdoor setting to be. Those are HUGE lavender shrubs in the garden bed. They make the backyard smell divine.
This is the front door we don’t use because it opens up into the dogs part of the yard. There are a few flowers growing but I want to add to it. The owners love natives so that’s a great thing. The middle window is my office.
I forgot to show you my little smoking table. As half my guests at the dinner party were smokers, I set up a little area outside (with chairs not shown because they are ugly green plastic things) and they loved it. I bought the blue lantern ages ago and it’s slowly worn and rusted and looks even better at night with a candle slowly flickering inside.
