Steve and I casually make our way up towards Thornton where the lovely Danielle and her troops reside. It was nice to wake at a reasonable hour and not feel rushed to arrive at a certain time. In the end it worked out as the quickest drive we’ve ever done and that’s pretty darn good. At one point there was only one other car on the road for quite a few kilometers which is quite bizarre for Syd-Newy.
We finally installed a CD player in the car just before we left (THANK GOODNESS) as we haven’t had music in the car for over 18 months. The one we had previously was stolen the week before our wedding… grrr. I’m just glad we have tunes now.
Steve and I sung songs, yelled at stupid drivers and chillaxed. We’re good long distance drivers. It was nice as we haven’t done a drive in awhile. We were so excited to see Danielle and the kids, read books and give lots of cuddles. Not only are they my godchildren but we feel so close to Danielle and Ron that they’re like family. Our little niece and nephews. They definitely hold our hearts oxox.
