Isn’t it fantastic. We found an assortment of terracotta and plastic pots. We had one cactus and two succulents then we got given a whole bunch of cuttings from our lovely friend Scott who has a million of them. I think it looks lovely and I’m keeping my eyes out for tiny terracotta’s on sale.
Ok, enough about succulents. Here’s Steve’s room. We got more hanging baskets ($2ea), a screen to cover the ugly old fence ($17 for 3mtrs), lots more plants and the result is a very happy hubby. Toby & Charlie are happier now two as we’re both spending more time outdoors.
I’m so chuffed. We’ve taken to chilling out in the evening with a cold bevvy and our feet up, watching the dogs chase each other around the yard. The family loved what we had done and Dad, Steve and Josh spent most of their time out there chilling out and drinking.
Here’s the happy camper. The king of the castle so to speak. I love the palms. I can’t wait till they grow even bigger… and buy even more of course.
Mum and Dad bought bought me this mobile for the garden. It’s got two sweet little bird carvings and beautifully sounding charms. It’s added to the tranquility of the garden and it’s lovely with the sound of the water fountain.
This photo is for Mum, I don’t know what this plant is called but I love it. It’s a little droopy cos it hadn’t had it’s afternoon drink yet lol. It’s so tropical and colourful.
Here’s the fountain area. It’s definitely getting there. Over time I’ll add more plants and cluster them around the fountain, but for now we’re really happy with the result. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for cheap concrete statues and garden accessories. If you have any ideas leave a comment.
I couldn’t resist posting this adorable photo of Charlie. He’s so full of sweetness. It’s not like him to have his tongue out so it’s hilarious to me.
For Christmas Toby & Charlie (pictured) got a pool. Admittedly, Charlie is the only one who uses it and loves splashing about. We believe Toby was traumatised when he was a few weeks old as he’s never liked water and hides from the hose. He was a pound puppy after all. Instead he just drinks out of it lol.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and I can’t wait to get into a whole new year of blogging.
