I thought I’d show a few of the xmas presents I received that made me thankful, ponder, giggle and cry. Steve and I received a worldly conscious gift, a chicken sponsorship through World Vision from our friend Wendy.
Then we received the most beautiful placemats I’ve ever seen from the Schultz family. I started taking down the Christmas decorations around the house today. The tree is still up but that’s about it. I’m keen to jazz the place up for summer and these placemats our perfect for our table. The colour and print just meshes so well wit our lounge/dining and decorating theme. Thanks so much guys, they’re lovely. Even Steve was chuffed.
Then there’s the present that made me cry at Christmas. My Grandma Valarie, she got me good. Pulled at all the heart strings. I got a lovely vintage recipe file. I ADORE IT. Why you ask…
More homage to the GHD whom I love so much. It is heaven for my hair and many people want to steal it… but they can’t. Thanks Steve for an awesome early Christmas pressie.
We bought (with money we received) a charging stand for our wii and it’s remotes. I finally realised where all my rechargeable batteries were going…hmm naughty Steve. We picked it up for $30, best investment ever.
With some of the money we were given from Steve’s family we lashed out and bought Scrabble and the tiniest dictionary I’ve ever seen. Steve loves challenging Mum to games when we go to Newy and it’s definately a game that’s growing on me. It used to be concidered a kind of punishment when Stephanie and I were younger… education disgused as a game inflicted upon us when we were extremely bored and out of options lol. Now, not so much.
It was a small and sweet Christmas, just how I like it.
