Work today was quite fun. Afterward Steve and I drove out to Rouse Hill. I hadn’t been in ages and was looking forward to it. We had a look at Target and Steve picked out a lovely white crushed linen skirt for me for $20. As soon as I got home I tried it as a dress (belted at the waist of course) and it looked even better. Sweet. Then we stopped off at City Chic to check out any bargains. I found this GORGEOUS black slinky dress for $40. Jealous? I was so happy. It fits so well and is my new LBD, Yay!
It has sequins around the waist as well as sequins on the gathering of the straps. Steve’s jaw dropped when I stepped out of the bedroom to give him “the show”. lol it’s too cute. I put on new clothes, go into the bedroom and he sits in the lounge room waiting. Then I parade down the hallway like a runway model and he hoots and cheers or says “nah, can you return it?” lol. This one definitely got cheers, as did the price tag!
After City Chic Steve and I went looking for a suit to wear to a wedding later this year. He ended up getting a brand new suit, shirt and tie and he looked ever so smart and spunky. He also managed to wrangle a good deal, which came in handy as we went next door to Strandbags and bought two new suitcases, also at a bargain. Rouse Hill was good to us that’s for sure. Above is the dress I bought from work today. I’d been eying it off since we received it but I wasn’t sure as the print was so bold and had a lot of “boobage” as Steve calls it.
Tonight we went to Cristian’s birthday party and I decided to wear it… with a singlet of course. I also finally got to wear my amber jewelery that I’ve had forever. I got so many compliments and I’m glad I went with my instincts.
