I’ve been a bit distracted, sickness and all. It’s also been a blessing. I’ve had time. Time to sit still and just breathe. I’ve written letters, some cards have been sent and I’ve skipped down memory lane… all from the safety of my couch.
Over the last day or so I began scanning photos and uploading them to facebook for everyone to enjoy. So far the response has been amazing, everyone’s commenting and having a chuckle about the old days. The clothes, the hair, the old friends, the old boy friends and girlfriends…ahh memories. I just hope I’ve made people smile with my treasures.
Dani and I would just drive somewhere and start snapping. We studied photography, spent lunch and recess in the lab we made, turned other studies to focus on photography, entered competitions, held exhibitions, anything we could. Me, Dani, our cameras, The Paj, Coca Cola and Chips & Gravy. Those were the days.
I can’t help but think where the time’s gone. We all look so young and vibrant. At the time we thought we were so grown up, invincible and in a way we were. So many of us have kept in touch. Some talk daily, some every few weeks, some once a year but the connection is still there. We all have a piece of Katherine that ties us together no matter where we reside on the big brown land. I’m so thankful to all these people who’ve touched my life in some way or another.
