This afternoon felt like information overload. So much paperwork, so much money. We talked about my overall health, previous surgeries, CIN3 and everything under the sun. I’m confident in our choice of Ob, Steve feels the same. We went over pre-admissions, hospital choices, antenatal classes, down syndrome and diabetes testing, appointment schedules and costs. Wowser. So much to absorb.
There may be some complications with me previously having a cone biopsy for CIN3 so I’m having yet another ultrasound at 17 weeks to check the length of my cervix. I also have another ultrasound tomorrow at 2pm to check my risk for Down Syndrome. I’m looking at it as another opertunity to watch Little Mez and fall even more in love. Unfortunately Steve can’t make this one so I’m taking a USB so he doesn’t miss out. This is child is not going to be camera shy!
I’ve made a baby folder for the information overload and I bought a cute little A5 notebook for all my notes, ideas, plans and reminders. It’s been really helpful so far, keeping me organised. It’s also good as Steve knows where everything is and can keep himself informed. We also have sections to put clippings for our “want” list of things for baby. The paperwork is a bit daunting but I guess pregnancy isn’t all fun and games… but it sure does feel awesome.
