Ok, this is what I’m thinking for the layout for Little Mez’s room. The room is quite narrow and long so the furniture is kinda set up like a galley. It took ages to get the measurements of the room and all the furniture, then convert to feet and inches so I could use a free online program to make these up. This is my favourite layout but it’s best to have a few options and opinions.
I don’t mind this but I’m not sure I like how the daybed breaks the room in half. We’re keeping the daybed as it’s great for extra guests and it will eventually be Little Mez’s big boy bed. In case you’re wondering next to the daybed is my large bookcase, next to the cot is the tallboy and next to that is the laundry hamper. Next to the wardrobe is my skinny bookcase, it fits perfectly there. * The daybed will be used as a change area, unless I find a super cheap white wood change table on ebay or I end up having a C-Section.*
Oh and the ONLY power point in the room is underneath the far window (behind the daybed in this pic. We plan to put a lamp and CD player on top of the tallboy. I don’t mind this layout. It’s quite open but a lot of the strong morning sun will fall through the right window. We also have a mosquito net to put over the crib but in this position we couldn’t put it up as it would get in the way of the fan which is right in the middle of the room. If the cot is in any of the corners it will be fine to put up. I like that this layout has a lot more open space.
Now forget everything I said about the sun coming through the window lol. This is another layout I think will work. Steve doesn’t like the idea of Little Mez near a window as we have blinds and he’s afraid of draughts. I called Babies Galore and everything we’ve ordered has arrived and it ready to be picked up. We’ll grab the Cot next weekend EEP!!! Until then I’m going to bombard the blog all week with inspiration pics for the nursery. Sweet huh 😀
