Now above is my original plan, well as close as I could predict. Since then I’ve chosen fabric, things have been rearranged and ideas have been expanded upon or thrown out. I thought that since I’ve been so busy with Mum and my poor blog has suffered, I would post my little drawing for comparison when I finally get the job finished and the room starts to take shape. It’s nothing really “out there”, it’s practical, colourful and most importantly it’s ours.
It’s not to scale. The furniture only resembles what I have. It is a sketch after all. I needed to get my ideas out of my head and onto paper so I could share them with Mum and Steve. I drew this on Wednesday night before our big shopping trip at Spotlight on Thursday. I’m glad I did, along with getting the measurements for everything so we knew how much fabric was necessary and what colours would come into play where. A valuable tool, especially when explaining our task to a confused sales lady at Spotlight.
