This week has been pretty full on with social events left and right. On Wednesday I took Alice out to Rouse Hill for lunch and a couple of hours shopping. On Thursday Wez took me out for a pub lunch and a really good chat. On Friday I spent the afternoon with Casey trying on dresses (like the one above) and then later that night Steve and I were to attend Wez’s heathen BBQ. There was over 40 people there. It was insane. Then on Saturday night we had Steve’s work dinner that I organised and it went off without a hitch. Now I think Steve’s going to sleep all day again and I’m left doing some tippy-tappy on my Mac.
I love this dress. It’s strapless, made of jersey, has a aqua and magenta geometric print and is oh-so-comfy. Casey said I can borrow it as long as I want. I think it will be hard to give it back. I wore it with my black leggings, black cardi and my hot pink plastic beads. You wouldn’t believe me how often I wear them lol. My bump looks so cute in this dress. Most people at the BBQ had learnt their lesson from the week before and were warned from others not to touch my bump. That was nice. All the smokers were banished to the far corners of the yard. Also nice. I made Cheese & Bacon Cob Loaves and they disappeared as quickly as I made them. Yum.
Steve had quite a bit to drink. It was nice to see him get loose and mingle… and talk about Little Mez to anyone who would listen. Too funny. Apparently at one point he was telling people how I told him I was pregnant and he started to tear up. Bless him. This photo speaks louder than words, it was taken once we got home. I needed a pic of my outfit lol. We both had a lovely time, I caught up with quite a few people I hadn’t seen in awhile and we were home and tucked up in bed by 11pm. So glamorous but that’s the way this bumpalicious lady rolls now.
Saturday night was a different story. Much more refined and dressed up. I’m wearing my new necklace and bracelet. They’re all different blue stones. Steve looked so smick I could barely keep my eyes off him. We trundled off to the restaurant and everyone was already there when we arrived… 30min early. I bought my little lumbar support roll with me as I just knew the chairs would be uncomfortable, and they were, to me anyway. The meal was brilliant. The restaraunt was booked out so it took quite awhile to get the food in front of us but it was worth the wait. I forgot to take my camera but I used other people’s camera’s and I’ll get the pics eventually. Blame the baby brain. Everyone said I did a great job with organising tonight and that was nice. Now to plan the next work dinner…
