I’ve gotten quite a few questions about Toby & Charlie lately; “How are they coping? Have they noticed any changes? Have they treated you differently?” etc and I thought it was really interesting. They are of course wonderful but I have noticed Toby is a bit sooky and has cried a couple of times from wanting attention specifically from me. He’s very protective which is cute but he’s not aware of his strength so I always make sure Steve’s in the yard with me.
That said Toby is very gentle and very playful. He loves to jump and bounce around. I swear he’s half kangaroo. This is Toby with his favourite ball in the whole world. I can’t remember the name but it’s huge, rubber and the ball has little feet and it squeaks oh it costs about $15ea. Worth. It. Also in the background is their tiny pool. They drink out of it lol. Charlie has a quiet demeanor. He’d rather sit by you and occasionally put his paw on your lap. He has a very old soul. Toby has ADD. Two completely different puppies.
Steve taking them for their walk. It’s too much for me. They love it and I think Steve loves it more. It’s “man-time”. Their training was so important to us. I’m glad we were able to invest so much time, especially with a baby on the way. I walk about the back yard patting my belly and saying “baby” over and over and Toby will bark this little knowing bark and come in for a cuddle. Charlie just keeps wanting to put his paw on my belly lol. I can’t wait til Little Mez starts kicking and scared the crap out of him lol. While the boys trundled off for some adventure in suburbia I stayed home and baked a cake for the work BBQ Steve has tomorrow. Devil’s Food Cake with choc fudge filling and yummy buttercream icing. Yummo. I’m looking forward to a laugh with the guys from work and to dig in to some yummy food and maybe even watch some baby stories on Foxtel. Now I’m off to soak in a nice warm (but not too hot) bath and shave my wooly mamoth legs.
