6 weeks and counting, wow! He’s really popped out and is so active and today, for the first time, he’s movements hurt. He seems to like kicking or punching my cervix. Not so much fun for Mumma. Since the ultrasounds this week I think I’ve clued into his turning movements. He’s turned 3 times already. I’m just going to let him do his own thing and see what position our little wild card will land in on the big day.
So far I’m doing pretty well at not over thinking, keeping myself occupied making lists and reading magazines. There has also been a few birthdays so I’ve made lots of cards and wrapped lots of presents which was fun as I really love giving gifts to loved ones. I’ve held off as best I can from buying too many things for LM. I stocked up on Huggies Wipes as BigW has them on sale, some scented nappy sacks and some wondersuits. Now all that’s left is little things for my labor and hospital bags. I’m feeling pretty organised but just in case I printed out a list of things I need and I’ve been slowly ticking things off *control freaks like lists*.Sorry the pictures are so dark. I took them when I got home from the hairdressers this afternoon so there wasn’t much light outside. It feels nice to resemble the old me, even if I’m a more puffy version at the moment. I can’t wait for my face to go back to normal. I know the puffiness will be replaced by bags under my eyes the size of saucers but I don’t care right now, I want my cheekbones back and just one chin would be nice!
Due to baby brain I forgot to take a silohette picture of my bump but I think we can all agree it’s getting bigger week by week. Steve and I are getting really excited about LM’s arrival and so are our parents. It’s nice to hear that Steve’s Dad is excitedly counting the days off on the calendar and my parents couldn’t be cluckier. I’m really enjoying enveloping myself in our little two-some family before LM arrives, I know we’ve got a hard yet wonderful transition ahead so I’m savouring every moment.
