Little Mezza has a LOT of socks… 43 pairs to be exact! I had to buy a little box to keep them organised in his draw but the box just isn’t big enough (see below). Thankfully though there are a range of sizes to fit him until he’s two so unless the washing machine or dryer eats them we should be right for awhile. The only problem is, how will I stop myself from buying more?
He also has an ever-growing hat and cap collection. I’m not a hat person but I wish I was, I just can’t seem to pull off the look with my huge head, big pointy nose and sticky-out ears. I have a great range of sizes and types. A few cute newborn caps, thick cotton ones to keep the wind at bay and a floppy little sun hat. Today I bought the white neck-flap hat from the Cancer Council, the first one I’ve seen that isn’t ugly to look at and is so soft.
LM’s linen closet. Yep, he gets his own and for good reason, he has almost as much as me! He’s got plenty of good quality sheets, lots of wraps, muslin’s, bunny rugs and play mats. I’ve just bought him the aqua towels which will be his exclusively and all his face washers are in the draw near the changetable for convinience. It all smells so good, clean and fresh.
Tip: Fold and place all matching set pieces into the pillowcase for easy storage and to keep things from getting lost/mismatched. I do this for our own sheets and quilt sets also.
There was a bit of interest in the green draws I bought so I thought I’d post a close up photo. The draws have little press-locks to keep things secure which was a selling point for me considering what’s kept inside… not that LM could get to it yet but you never know. GoLo do sell similar draws without the locks and it has a fourth draw for the same price but they’re a bit shallower. They also come in Pink, Blue and Orange.
The last thing I have to share is my cute little white peddal bin I snagged on sale at Spotlight whilst Steve and I were in Newy. It’s the perfect size, should fit a days (or nights) worth of disposables. I was hesitant having a bin in the room but I realised it was nesessary, at least for a little while. I also stocked up on scented nappy sacks to keep the room smelling fresh… well as fresh as a little boy will let me and if he’s anything like his father I’ll need all the help I can get!
