Aidan has been kicked out of our room and upgraded to the penthouse suite… his very own room in his very own bed. No more cradle, no more waking Mumma when he talks in his sleep and he loves it. Since Stephanie left I’ve been doing all the feeds in the nursery. Afterward I put him in his cot and he gazes and talks to his mobile while I use the bathroom/put the rubbish out/sort the laundry etc.
He really loves his mobile and the frogs and cricket sounds intrigue him. So this morning I decided we wouldn’t go back to the cradle, we’d brave the big bed. Before I had even walked towards the cot he was asleep and the decision was made. I slept on the daybed and we both got a solid 2.5 hours sleep. BOOYARR!
Isn’t he TINY! Obviously I wont be sleeping on the daybed every night, it was Mumma’s training wheels so to speak. Daddy did freak out a little when he realised we were both missing and my side of the bed was cold but it didn’t take him long to find us. We both got kisses and he was off to work…
… then we both slept happily ever after.
*Aidan and I had such a great night. He slept from 1am – 7am without even a peep. My mum said my snoring must have been keeping him awake at night. Moving him into his own room has been the best move so far and we’re both happier for it*

Oh, that is a FANTASTIC result! carter has it the other way around, he will sleep from 7pm to 1am. Little bit jealous of you having such a wonderful sleeper! :P

ohh i soo know what you mean! Ivy lasted 3 days in our room, all her little noises kept me up even when she was sleeping! so glad you got a solid chunk of sleep in there!
