Mother’s Group is every Tuesday and through it I’ve met some pretty nice people, some whom I meet up with outside of group. Unfortunately due to lack of government funding there will be no more group… ever. I feel sorry for the new mums in the area who will miss out. I know that building a social network in the new world of “mums&bubs” is difficult, I made business cards for goodness sake. Without group I don’t know where my head space would be.
Last week there was a mini photo session run by the mums… not run by me. It was organised in the weeks I was away. They brought in Christmas outfits, tinsel, black backdrops and took lots of pictures of their bubs all dressed up. Aidan joined in the fun but I’ve yet to get the images so you’ll have to wait to see them. One of the ideas the girls had was to line up all the babies in order of age and take a photo. As I put Aidan in his place I stepped back and couldn’t help but laugh at how silly we all looked… and promptly took a photo. Personally I would have put 4 babies down at a time in order then used photoshop to put them together but that’s just me and it wasn’t my show 😉
There is my calm little–piggy-in-the-middle. The two babies either side started bawling and Aidan was so chilled out. You can see the nurse pointing to the two cry-babies. Monique (on the right) was born the same day as Aidan and her mum and I get along great. Group has opened so many doors and I’m sad to see it coming to an end. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead and all the new people we’ll meet.
