When I was contacted by the lovely people at Kinekt Design about doing a review on my blog about their uniquely designed Gear Ring, a brand spanking new product on the market, I just knew that this ring would be something Steve would happily wear forever. It’s made of hospital grade stainless steel, has a lifetime warranty but by far it’s best feature would have to be it’s Wear ‘n’ Play factor. Don’t understand what I mean? Well, the gears spin when you turn the rims of the ring, watch this…
When it arrived in the mail (FREE worldwide shipping!) Steve was so excited and whipped it out of the box straight away. He used the accurate sizing guide available on their website and it fit perfectly. That night we had dinner with friends and Steve proudly showed off his new wedding ring and the guys thought it was fantastic. They all had a little play and talked about the mechanics behind it, followed by… “why didn’t I think of that!“. The Gear Ring is so unique that Kinekt Design was able to get the ring protected by numerous patents pending (both design and utility), as well as other Intellectual Property rights, both in the USA and Internationally, so you can understand why Steve feels pretty darn special!
Steve can’t wear jewelery at work but he wears the ring when we go out and on the weekend. They make the ring in sizes 7-13 (with sizes 5, 6 and 14 in stock soon) and I’ll admit even I’ve worn it out on occasion and if Steve hadn’t of fallen in love with it I would have got one for myself because they’re not just for blokes, chicks can rock them too!
I plan on getting his Gear Ring engraved with the same quote that’s on my wedding ring and maybe Aidan’s name as well. Steve and I made promises to each other on our wedding day and every day since then we keep those promises and make new ones, to each other and to Aidan. I don’t think getting a ring so late in the game takes away the term “Wedding Ring”. I have my c-section scars and wedding ring to show for the bonds I’ve made and now Steve has a token of his promise to keep us Kinekted as a family. Thank you Kinekt Design for letting me review such a unique and designer product.

Gorgeous. I am actually going to forward this to my lovely husband. He too chose not to have a wedding ring. (Neither my Dad nor his Dad ever wore one, so it wasn't an odd concept for me either.)
But he sees how much I love MY ring. So he may be tempted by these…
I bet he'll love it. Steve was the same, he likes the way I absentmindedly touch mine when I talk about him to others, especially on the phone.
Thats very cool! I've seen the ball bearing rings made of titanium for guys that have a simialr wear and play kind of design but thats really cool!Michael lost his wedding ring and w've been meaning to get him a new one, maybe this would be a good replacement.
oh thats so cool! i want one :)
