Welcome back for week 8 of the Polly Dolly weekly Polyvore challenge!
Every Thursday I’ll post a new Polly Dolly Theme Challenge, then you toddle off and get creative. You can credit the items if you want and add a bit of an explanation of why you chose the pieces or you can just share your clipboard… it’s up to you. When you’re done maxing out your imaginary credit cards, simply add your link below using your blogs name as the “title” and a direct link to the specific blog post. Note: As Polyvore only publishes to Twitter or Facebook, I’ve found the easiest way is to click on your set, and go to ‘view details’. Then go to ’embed on your blog’ and copy the html (you can chose to have just your picture, or the item info as well). Paste it into your post in the html section. Easy!
I haven’t been to the movies in a while and I really miss it. I’m not a TV person, sure there are a few favourites I enjoy watching but the world doesn’t stop turning if I miss them. I love the drama of cinema and love going by myself even more. I like my vintage cinema with it’s small velvet seats. I like lining up for tickets. I like the smell of salty popcorn. I like finding a seat right in the middle. I like escaping into the story. I like crying and laughing in the dark. I like accidentally touching the arm of the person next to me when I get scared. I plan on taking my mothers group to the movies to go and see Letters to Juliet.
I feel naked without a jacket at the movies, it’s like wearing a hug and sometimes it’s exactly what I need, especially when I’m alone. I’d wear a pretty sundress and team it with ivory lace tights and funky it up with a pair of converse. The pink scarf breaks up all the blue and would go well with my blushing lips and cheeks. I’d have to have long pretty lashes to bat at the guy behind the candy bar for a free upgrade and it would need to be waterproof. What mascara do you use? To add a little bling I’d wear pink pearl earrings, a flying swallow necklace and some feminine bangles and bracelets. I like having a big bag at the movies to hide my stash of goodies and packets of tissues. I can’t go to the movies without eating Maltesers or a Magnum, it’s my written rule.
What would you wear and see at the movies?
