Welcome back for week 13 of the Polly Dolly weekly Polyvore challenge!
Every Thursday I’ll post a new Polly Dolly Theme Challenge, then you toddle off and get creative. You can credit the items if you want and add a bit of an explanation of why you chose the pieces or you can just share your clipboard… it’s up to you. When you’re done maxing out your imaginary credit cards, simply add your link below using your blogs name as the “title” and a direct link to the specific blog post. Note: As Polyvore only publishes to Twitter or Facebook, I’ve found the easiest way is to click on your set, and go to ‘view details’. Then go to ’embed on your blog’ and copy the html (you can chose to have just your picture, or the item info as well). Paste it into your post in the html section. Easy!
It seems that every time I try to step out of the house it’s raining. Not heavy purposeful rain, light drizzly annoying rain. I’ve seen lots of cute umbrellas on the internet lately and that’s what inspired this challenge. So, what would your Dolly wear if she out and about on a …
I’ve felt like I’ve had a little cloud over my head and really need a bit of a pick me up, what better to do that than a yellow polka dotted umbrella! My own little bit of sunshine on a rainy day. The skirt is on my wish list, I need it. The same goes for the trench, I love love looooove it. I’d wear a simple top and cardigan and give the outfit a bit of extra pump with some stockings and awesome boots. Seriously the coolest gumboots I have ever seen! The necklace coordinates well with the boots and the tote is adorable yet practical. I’d pop a bit of colour on my nails, a little gloss on my lips and tint my cheeks so the dull weather didn’t make me look washed out. I’d wear sunnies as a headband to keep my frizzy locks out of my eyes and sip a hot chocolate to keep my hands warm and my tummy happy.
What makes you happy on a rainy day?
