Blogs & Chocolate Meet

Even though the attendance levels were at an extremely depressing low (I blame the short notice) and Carly (from here, here and here) and I were the only ones there, we still had an awesome time. I'd spoken a couple of weeks prior with the franchise owner of San Churro Chocolateria in Parramatta and arranged for a few freebies and tastings so I felt really bad for him about the number of bloggers present so promised I would organise another in February... are you keen? The atmosphere was really ... One Year, One Post

As the year swiftly comes to an end I find myself looking back and reminiscing. I spent a good couple of hours this evening trolling back through my posts, not just from this year but from almost five years, I'm just shy of 2000 posts if you can believe it! 2010 has been a road of self discovery. A lot of posts about self esteem, parenting, making new friends and blogging. Oh and not to mention all the posts about finally launching my business. I would have to say the topic I've ... Don’t be Blue

Bet you didn't see a completely blue ensemble coming... just call me smurfette! In case you were wondering... yes, I am aware that wearing a skirt this short exposes some rather unsightly cellulite but really, who cares. Jumping about the front yard in this get up was a total trip, the neighbours had a good laugh I'm sure. It was fun digging through my wardrobe trying to find every blue and crystal piece I could get my hands on and throw it all together. This is my favourite colour and has ... [ Discover More ]

Danimezza Photography… THE BLOG

{click here}{click here}  {click here}These are the first few sessions I've been able to publish on the new blog. I'll be writing about business stuff over there mostly and while I'll share sneak peeks on Danimezza.com, to see the full story you'll have to drop by the photography blog. I'm so excited to be finally showing off more of my work. I'm assisting at another wedding in Canberra this coming Saturday so I really wanted to get on top of my workload before I added to it. Oct/Nov was a ... [ Discover More ]

Dainty Silver

A few weeks ago I was browsing Made It randomly as I do, just looking for inspiration and I came across LoveStamp. I was instantly drawn to the typography necklaces, being a huge Sex & The City fan I'd always secretly longed for one of my own so I wrote to Jo and asked for a quote. When she realised what I wanted and why, she seemed just as excited as me. Less than two weeks later I found a pretty little parcel sitting on my doorstep... and Jo didn't want a cent for it!I was beyond excited ... [ Discover More ]

Magic Magenta

There is always one colour in your wardrobe that gets you the most compliments, my colour is Magenta... and Fushia... oh, and maybe Aqua too. When I saw I could get footless tights in magenta I got all googly-eyed and I when I finally poured myself into them all I wanted to do was sing, jump and twirl around like a Glee cast member. To me, they're the perfect colour to blend with black and I just love how they look with my polka dot dress. Actually, I think they would totally funk up any little ... [ Discover More ]

BLOG MEET – Parramatta SUN 28th NOV

As some of you may have guessed by now, I'm hosting a meet in Parramatta THIS SUNDAY at a lovely little chocolate cafe. You don't have to own your own blog, you may just be an avid blog reader and want to learn a little more about it or just come and hang with me and a few of my friends for the afternoon. San Churro and Nuffnang will be helping cover some of the costs as well as throwing in a few goodies just because they're nice. It's not a workshop, or a conference, it's just a casual catch up ... Lady Grey

The second fashion post this week featuring the WeLoveColors tights I was sent, this time they were Charcoal footless ones, they're really comfy too. I'm also sporting a few new items as well which was kind of fun. It's been nice feeling so much more confident when out shopping, I've ventured into places where I wouldn't have normally looked. This was the look on my face when I found this purse at the op shop. I kid you not, an original, mint condition Glomesh Handbag. It came in it's original ... [ Discover More ]

TWO knights in shining armour!

Me & AnnaLast night I had dinner with a lovely "photography" friend, Anna. We spent hours talking about our business plans, our gear and everything else in between. It was so nice to just chat about it without the fear of boring the other person to death. We're both starting out so we live, sleep and breathe it at the moment. We met at the very first "Love your Camera" workshop and then again at "The Scoop" workshop, both run by Angie Baxter. Tina who we also met at the workshops was ... [ Discover More ]

Look at my Legs!

As I promised you all on facebook, I've taken quite a few outfit photos which I will post sporadically over the next week. Kind of like my way of saying sorry for so much business related mumbo-jumbo on the blog lately. The postman and all the mum's picking their kids up from school thought I was a pretty funny sight strutting my stuff in my front yard. Apparently I'm good entertainment offline as well as online!I follow a lot of plus size fashion blogs and I love seeing all their outfit posts, ... [ Discover More ]

Golly Gosh!

Last Friday I put the finishing touches to some photography sessions I'd had the privilege to capture, two of which were weddings, packaged them up and sent them to the clients. I was a nervous wreck all weekend, worrying myself silly about scary, imaginary scenarios where they absolutely despised the images and never ever wanted to speak to me again. By Monday afternoon I felt physically ill. They were big jobs that would either build me up or break me and I was downright petrified. I'd ... [ Discover More ]

Mr Independent

Lately Aidan has been quickly developing into his own little person. He knows what he wants and is so independent that it startles Steve and I on a daily basis. I understand that being first time parents, everything is new and amazing, that our son is the sun in our universe and no other star could shine as bright... but seriously, what's with the tantrums? These photos were taken within seconds of each other. One minute he's just fine, the next... WHAMO! They don't happen every day but they do ... [ Discover More ]

Selling my Smarts, not my Soul

Scattered over the last couple of months you would have noticed the sponsored posts I've written for Nuffnang as well as the advertising blocks and banners. I've received a few emails/questions/opinions about my involvement Nuffnang and why I'm hosting advertising at all. So, I thought I would write a post about it all, explaining why/when/how. I suggest you grab a coffee and brace yourself for a long one...I really want to encourage a discussion (note: NOT a debate) about this, so if you have ... [ Discover More ]

I Write For: WeHeartLife

Nuffnang Xmas Party

As soon as I walked in I recognised Viv from Ish&Chi and straight away we got to talking. It was so lovely to meet in person, she's stunningly beautiful and super nice! Nuffnang had a lucky door prize of a brand new iPod Touch which Joanna was very excited to win! Keeping Cool Competition

Sponsored by NuffnangAidan has found his independence so we've been spending a lot of time outside lately, giving him plenty of room to do his own thing and explore. The last week or so has been really hot during the day and I know the coming summer is going to be a sweaty one.Today I dragged Aidan's highchair outside and we had a lazy afternoon tea of watermelon and strawberries. I stripped him off so he could get all messy and covered in juice. The perfect cool treat after a hot day full ... [ Discover More ]

Tony Ferguson

Taken the day I started the program For the last week I've been trying something new, actually it was entirely new and it was hard but I did it and I'm so proud. My name is Danielle and I lost 3kgs in the first week of the Tony Ferguson program. I still have half my current body weight to loose. This will not be a fast journey but it's definitely one I have to make. The staff are so helpful and call to check in a lot, just to chat. I like that. I can also go into the center whenever I like, ... [ Discover More ]

Spit the Dummy

My itty bitty NewbornLast Monday Aidan gave up the dummy, cold turkey. I should probably explain that he wasn't a willing participant but it was time, it had to happen eventually. Aidan's relationship with his dummy hasn't been intense but it's been there for him since he was three days old. The nurse popped it in with sincerely good intentions and I must admit it's saved our sanity on occasion but it was time to go.When Aidan was about 5 months (when I had to stop breastfeeding) I weaned ...
