As I promised you all on facebook, I’ve taken quite a few outfit photos which I will post sporadically over the next week. Kind of like my way of saying sorry for so much business related mumbo-jumbo on the blog lately. The postman and all the mum’s picking their kids up from school thought I was a pretty funny sight strutting my stuff in my front yard. Apparently I’m good entertainment offline as well as online!
I follow a lot of plus size fashion blogs and I love seeing all their outfit posts, I find them really inspiring and fun. One of my favourites is DeathFatties where bloggers all over submit photos they love, it’s run by the lovely Definatalie. Her fashion posts are brilliant, she’s the one who introduced me to WeLoveColors, a company that makes tights in 50+ colours… even in plus size! Trying my luck, I wrote an email to them and asked if they could possibly send me a pair to wear during an outfit post…
The postage was pretty expensive to Australia and I wasn’t even sure I’d like them, I don’t really wear hosiery. Asking nicely for a freebie seemed the best way around it and you know what, they sent me FOUR PAIRS! Now, if you think these ones are wild, awesome and totally out-there… then wait and see what’s coming up next week!
Besides having to shove my chunky thighs into them, the sizing seems spot on, I ordered a size E. I like that the colour is nice and bold and not see-through or patchy. I wasn’t impressed that the tips didn’t have an extra patch to protect them from toenails though. For all the plus size bloggers who do fashion posts, don’t be afraid to approach businesses, including this one. You never know what the postie could deliver!
I had a ball taking these photos. I can’t see myself wearing this outfit to coles but you can’t deny it’s colourful, orgasmic awesomeness! I felt so fun and quirky wearing it that I just had to wear pigtails, something I haven’t done in decades lol. Keep your eyes peeled for more fun during the week, happy Friday peeps x
