Every Thursday I’ll post a new Polly Dolly Theme Challenge, then you toddle off and get creative. You can credit the items if you want and add a bit of an explanation of why you chose the pieces or you can just share your clipboard… it’s up to you. When you’re done maxing out your imaginary credit cards, simply add your link below using your blogs name as the “title” and a direct link to the specific blog post. Note: As Polyvore only publishes to Twitter or Facebook, I’ve found the easiest way is to click on your set, and go to ‘view details’. Then go to ’embed on your blog’ and copy the html (you can chose to have just your picture, or the item info as well). Paste it into your post in the html section. Easy!
I love to shop but I don’t like to spend money… so my solution to this is spending other people’s money! No, I don’t go around pick pocketing pensioners but I am giving a girlfriends credit card a good workout. My friend Wendy loves asymmetrical dresses, she has a great high paying job and spends a large majority of her income on her mortgage and shoes… she also lives in Darwin. Because I’m the greatest friend on the planet and I live in stylish Sydney, if I find something I know she’ll love I send her a photo with my iphone and within minutes she’s screaming excitedly down the phone for me to buy it. I then pay for it and she transfers the money back into my account. She gets access to outfits no one else in Darwin has (plus often a lot cheaper) and I get to spend someone elses money and the spenders satisfaction… win-win!
