“Dad, you’re awesome!”
I’ve been trying to lay low the last couple of days and really invest in more family time on top of all the pre-christmas craziness. It’s just going to be the three of us this year and I while I know I’ll really miss my family on the day, I’m quite thankful for a stress free holiday period.
“mum, I’ll drink the bath water if I want to… just try and stop me!”
We’ve been playing… a lot. I’ve been toting the camera everywhere, playing with settings and just getting to know the new extension of “me”. I’ve been saving my pennies for new lenses and I can’t wait to get the min the new year. Anyone want to go shopping in Bondi in January?
Steve’s has all this week off and we’ve been couped up together in the house. Thankfully we’d (I mean I’d) already completed all the Christmas shopping so we’ve been very domestic, cleaning and weeding and setting up Aidan’s brand new plastic monstrosity playhouse… seriously, what was I thinking!
Steve and I haven’t had much alone time in the last couple of months. I always seem chained to my computer or he passes out early, like 8pm. Now he has time off I find myself glued to him, soaking him all up while I can and Aidan seems to be doing the same. I couldn’t help but take a photo of Steve’s freckles. He loathes them, I cherish each and every one of them.
“MUM… Dad just dumped a big cup of water on me!!!”
2010 has been (and still is) full on. My brain is always ticking, my calendar is always full and so is my inbox. 2011 is going to be super-dooper-absafuckenlutely-brilliant and I can’t wait to dive in head first. We’ve planned lots of family trips as well as my solo trips away for the blog and photography business. We haven’t planned on falling pregnant next year, we’re all really enjoying being a little three-some… but then again if it happens we’ll be supremely elated.
“I love baths”
I mean, who wouldn’t want more when they look at you like this! 2011 is going to be huge for my career, both as a blogger, photographer and I see a lot of personal growth ahead. I’m so pumped but right now I’m enjoying laying low, snuggling my boys and recharging my batteries. Keep an eye out for Polly Dolly tomorrow… didn’t think I’d leave you hanging did you?
