Those who follow me on twitter would know for the past few weeks I’ve been on a worldwide search for shoes to fit my weirdly shaped feet. I don’t have many pairs and any that are remotely fancy are painful to wear for more than 30 minutes. The trouble is I have size 9.5/10 feet but a standard width of 9cm doesn’t fit, I need 10cm. I also prefer a lower heel as 120kgs on my toes is quite painful. Finding shoes to fit me in Australia off the shelf is almost impossible. Well, bless my stars because on the weekend I got lucky… twice!
These gorgeous pair of pumps are from C’est Bon, I bought them on sale,
$79.95 $29.95 from Williams. They’re a size 9.5 and extra wide at the toes. They also have a small 3″ heel and feel so comfortable to wear. The fabric is hard to describe, it’s a light neutral linen with tiny, shiny silver dots all over. I could easily dress them up or down and for under $30 I’m in love!
As I went to the register to pay for my pretty new peeptoe pumps, the sales assistant informed me that if I bought two pairs of sale shoes I’d get an additional 50% of the second pair… sold! It didn’t take me long for fall head over heels (pardon the pun) for this pair of Corelli T-bars for
$89.95 $39.95. That meant that I actually got the peeptoe pumps for only $15, bringing my total for two pairs of shoes that actually fit to $54.90… I felt like I was walking on sunshine!
I really needed shoes that were stylish and comfortable, I couldn’t live in thongs and flats forever. I’m so glad I found some that were way under budget too, that was a nice surprise. I’m keeping my eye on a pair of black patent wedges from Novo too, they’re totally dreamy and I could see myself wearing them all day long… but that’s a story for another day.
