Spring Fever

With only a few weeks of summer left, fashion stores across Australia are already preparing for  the new autumn/winter collections to hit the floor. However on the other side of the globe fashionistas are ready and waiting to shed their winter layers and embrace the sunshine. We’re lucky in Australia, there are always more warm months than cool so we really get to maximise our spring/summer wardrobe.
I thought I’d share a moodboard with you all, one that captures the essence of what spring was to me this past year. If you’d like you can join in too, just leave a comment and a link so we can all be nosy and have a look.

As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m really starting to define my style. I’m obsessed with mustard, teal and pink shades, they make me happy when I see them. Large statement necklaces and grouped, vintage brooches is my new “thing”. On the topic of jewelry I finally bought my maternity ring, a lovely sapphire and diamond number which I’ll talk about later. I’d been eying off a set of six different coloured pairs of rose stud earrings for weeks and I bought them recently, I’ve felt so cute wearing a new colour each day. I’ve also been investing in quality make up, drinking a lot more water, eating fruit like it’s going out of fashion and I can definitely see the difference in my skin.

Aidan and I have been walking everyday, we always stop at the florist to look at the “pretties” but I never buy any as it’s been so hot and humid I’m sure they’d perish before I managed to get them home. As much as I adore wedges I can’t justify buying them, not now that Aidan insists on walking everywhere so I’ll just dream instead. I’ve read more in the last few weeks than I have in the last couple of years and my brain feels alive again, a new shipment from The Book Depository arrived this morning: “Ignore Everybody and 39 other Keys to Creativity” - Hugh McLeod came highly recommended, I’ll let you know how I go.  Oh and if you want to talk about creative genius, check out this video:

Spring Valley have a yummy range of healthy, natural drinks. The Goji & Wildberry Smart Water is my favourite and the Tropical Lychee Smart Water runs a close second. It amused me to find out that my two favourites both helped to relieve stress, anxiety, fatigue, moodiness, restlessness, insomnia and irritability. Steve said they should have called it “Danimezza Renew” because I’m such a stress-head and never make it to bed before midnight.

Besides having a really cute clip, Spring Valley is being super sweet and giving away a complimentary “Spring Fever” song download, which is the soundtrack to the adorable video which is sung by Elvis Presley. All you have to do is “Like” the Spring Valley Facebook Page and go to the “Elvis Track” tab and follow the instructions to download. I recommend listening to it over and over again, get inspired like I did, then go and create your own Spring Fever moodboard. Just don’t forget to come back and leave a link in the comments section so we can check out your styling!
