Danimezza’s Undies on A Current Affair

by Danimezza on March 4, 2011

I’m one of those people that like to take almost every opportunity that’s put in front of them. Yep, even if that means going on national television in my underwear…

Click HERE to watch the A CURRENT AFFAIR segment on shapewear!
A few weeks ago Janine from Real Women Australia put a facebook message out, encouraging all those interested in being on TV to talk about body issues should contact her. I did and whilst the segment was a lot more work than the 4 minute clip shows, it was a lot of fun. I roped in one of my besties,  Monica to do it with me as well as my girl Elise from the Rouse Hill City Chic store. Above is Monica filming the part where she says “Goodbye Tummy, Hello Yummy Mummy” she still goes bright red whenever anyone mentions it… I may or may not bring it up randomly to mess with her lol

The crew set up for the first day of filming at the City Chic Rouse Hill (NSW) store, my almost daily haunt as it’s where I shoot my Changeroom Confessions segment on the Inside: City Chic blog. psst, keep an eye out for new outfits this coming week.

Here’s Monica again doing here little interview and receiving her shapewear garments to try on over the next few days. It was quite funny because for Monica they chose to give her dress slips… and she didn’t own a dress! I’ve only seen her in one and it’s one we bought when out shopping together but it was too flowy to show of her trim figure so ACA had to go out and buy her a few to wear the lucky duck!
Monica took this sweet photo of me prancing about the change rooms just before I went on camera to show of my favourite piece of shapewear, I really really like it.
After we finished filming at the store the team came back to my house where the nanny was looking after Aidan and Brock (Monica’s son) as they wanted to film the boys for the segment. While we waited for them to wake up they filmed me working in my studio and outside with my camera. They also gave us our “Diary Cams” and a run through of what types of things we should film.

The cameraman got a few frames of the boys sleeping and I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots myself of Aidan and Brock having a little sleep over… everybody say “awwwwwwwwww”

On the last day of filming we all met up at my favourite mexican restaurant ”Tequila’s on Main” so ACA could film us shoving our faces with nachos, classy! The team were so fun to hang out with and Tequila’s staff put out a great spread.

We even got to sit at my favourite table, right under the big bullfighter mural. This place gets so packed almost every night of the week, it’s crazy. This is where Steve and I go when we do go out for those rare dinner dates together. The food is awesome, affordable and the long island iced teas are pretty fantastic too!

Me, Monica & Elise doing our thing for the camera, discussing shapewear and deciding on whether we wanted Chicken, Beef or Tequila’s signature nachos for lunch. Have you ever tried eating nachos in a ladylike fashion? We all tried and I guess it was as unsuccessful as we thought because they never showed it in the segment, thank goodness!

I got a message around lunch time yesterday to say it was going to air that evening so I called Monica and arranged to watch it together at her place. We all ate pizza, the boys ran about the house playing and Monica and I sat red faced and giggly as we watched it over and over again.

I’ve had the opportunity to do some pretty amazing things lately and it’s so much better when I can share it with my friends. I hope you enjoyed the show… go on, watch it one more time!
