Wipe on, Wipe off

This post is sponsored by Nuffnang and VIVA{image}I'm finding it difficult to keep on top of things at home at the moment, (including my husband) I have so many balls in the air, I just can't seem to juggle them properly as far as everyone else is concerned. I might be a touch stressed and a little out of my depth at times but I'm really enjoying all the new opportunities that my hard work, long hours and countless emails have afforded me. Being a mum, a wife and a multiple business owner has ... [ Discover More ]

100 years of Nivea

Yesterday afternoon whilst I was curled up on the couch wildly editing the final touches to my Kidspot Top 50 Bloggers competition video entry I got a tweet from one of my favourite PR firms, a last minute invitation to Nivea's 100th Birthday Party at Bennelong Point opposite the Opera House... how could I say no! After trying on a million outfits I settled on one and drove into the city. After paying $35 for parking I was guided up to the marquee by glittering blue lanterns. This is what I ... Help me win $5000 and a New Ford Territory for a year!

Back in March Steve and I took Aidan on a caravaning trip. We planned a brilliant route, packed everything we needed and headed off to visit friends and family. I was even presumptuous enough to assume that our trip would be so magical with a toddler that I arranged a five day guest post slot over at Childhood101 so I could share all my jewels of first-hand knowledge. Although we thought we'd taken everything into account, one thing we didn't plan on was us all catching the flu. ... Mexican Feista

One of my favourite places to go for dinner in Townsville is "Cactus Jacks" an amazing mexican restaurant with atmosphere, great food and lethal amounts of my favourite beverage... tequila. I just had one drink whilst sharing a meal with a few good friends. It was really lovely to get together, get dressed up and dig in. Mexican is one of Aidan's favourite types of food. Cheese, spicy meat, capsicum, grilled onions, salsa and guacamole... it's his thing! If you even ... [ Discover More ]

Traveling to Townsville

Last year I got some awesomely priced flights to Townsville and planned a mini holiday for just Aidan and I. He was only 1 at the time and I smugly thought to myself that he'd been the perfect little traveller  so he'd continue to be one a year later... right? Well for the most part I was right but Aidan and I don't live out of each others pockets so to be in each others faces without room to roam for such a long period of time was rough on both of us.  After reading A Lion ... Famous Magazine + Sensodyne Event

I was invited to attend a very hot event for FAMOUS Magazine and Sensodyne at The Victoria Room in Darlinghurst on Wednesday night and I'm so glad I was able to go. This photo was snapped by the event photographer so I have a full outfit photo to show you. I'm wearing a gorgeous peacock blue velvet dress which was on the City Chic runway at LMFF earlier this year as well as my uber cool Kelly Moore "Libby" Camera Bag, both gifts from the designers. An hour before the doors opened to the ... Gok Wan: WINNER

About a month ago I was lucky enough to snuggle up on the couch with Gok Wan. Ok, so maybe we didn't snuggle (after all I'm not really his type) but we did turn a 15 minute interview into almost an hour long chat-fest... and we were sitting on the couch together.Gok was kind enough to give me a signed copy of his book "Through Thick and Thin" to give away to a very lucky Danimezza reader. All I asked you to do to go in the draw was to be kind to yourself and blog about your favourite body ... [ Discover More ]

Danimezza Loves

I've found that you guys miss out on a lot of little pieces of my life, things that make me happy but don't quite make it onto the blog. They used to but in recent months they just haven't made the cut. I read every single comment left on twitter, facebook, the blog and countless emails... you guys miss the little things.I listened. I experimented with Instagram and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback. I posted lots of photos to my facebook page and you liked them too. What I didn't like was ... [ Discover More ]

Fashion Weekend, Danimezza Style

It started with a tweet. A PR company tweeted that they had a few tickets to giveaway to bloggers if they were interested so I emailed them and said "Yes Please!". I didn't know what my chances would be like but seconds later I got an email saying they'd pop two tickets in the post for me and a friend.I invited along the lovely Caitlin from Closet Confessions for a few hours of shopping fun and VIP treatment. She'd been to the Melbourne Fashion Weekend and said it wasn't great so we were really ... [ Discover More ]

Danimezza + Dior

This is NOT a sponsored post... but it should be...A few weeks ago I was innocently reading the Sunday paper and saw that Jamie Coombes, Leading Make up artist for Dior and professional to the stars (Kate Moss!) was in Australia and would be doing a very limited number of appointments for a one hour, one-on-one consultation.I tried my luck and was put on the wait-list and then by some lucky star I got in on a cancelation. I bought him a pretty pink tulip as a gift and we chatted about my bone ... [ Discover More ]

Kidspot Top 50 Bloggers Launch Party 2011

As I mentioned yesterday, I'm extremely excited to be listed yet again in the Top 50 Bloggers by Kidspot, it's always such a thrill to be recognised by your peers. In honour of the nominees Kidspot hosted a little cocktail party at Tom Dunne Gallery in Darlinghurst last night and almost all the ladies on the list were in attendance. Unfortunately my BFF who is also nominated couldn't attend but I tweeted for her!City Chic gave me this wonderful outfit to wear last night, I styled it myself ... [ Discover More ]

Nikon School with Christian Blanchard

I was a bit nervous about going to the workshop. I was afraid I'd forget how to change the settings on my camera. I was afraid that I'd be to shy to direct the model. I was afraid in general really. I always get like that before I do something different and outside my comfort zone. On top of the nervous feeling I felt nauseous due the sickening flu and fever I've been barely managing to survive through for the past week... but as you can see it all turned out ok.In case you didn't see last ... I’m more than a mum…

Lately my feelings have been getting hurt by a number of comments and emails I've been receiving. I know it's part and parcel with sharing most of my life online, I have to develop a thicker skin but I am still quite sensitive to it all despite my best efforts. My blog is my space to write and share what inspires me, whatever that may be. Over the years my topics of interest has changed, for example:In 2006 when I started the blog I was 20, just moved to Sydney with Steve who was my fiance at the ... [ Discover More ]

This does not exclude is love for his very special pig, his piggy bank. Piggy is filled with "More" as Aidan calls it, a loose translation is "Money". He isn't even two yet and he's already clued on that he needs "More" to survive. At first it was a fun game to work on his motor skills and now he can bank away 5c pieces like a pro. Now ... Get your Gok On!

A few weeks ago I posted about my interview with Gok Wan and gave you the chance to win a signed copy of Gok's autobiography. The competition is still open until the 16th of May and all you have to do is take a photo of your favourite body part, write a personal blog post about why you love it on your own blog and then come back here and link it up so everyone can see it.I was pretty disappointed to find that only 6 readers felt like sharing their favourite body part with the world. Six Take – Polka Dots/LBD

This week's theme is polka dots and I'm ashamed to say that the only polka dots I own are on a pair of undies not fit for internet viewing. So to make up for my total lack of dotty-goodness I thought I'd show off my awesome Statement Shoulder Dress. It's shorter than I would normally go but I like it.I'm going in to the city today to have a chat with Megan, designer of the Damn You Alexis label and columnist for Shop til you Drop.
