Digital Parents Sydney Karaoke Blog Meet

Last Saturday a bunch of bloggers descended on Mizuya Japanese Karaoke Restaurant in Sydney to belt out a few bum notes to ballads, stuff our faces with sushi and slurp down Mojitos... in a lady-like fashion of course! It was great to meet so many bloggers I already felt I knew in person as well as a few new faces. Want to see more from the evening? Well instead of bombing my blog with too many images you can find the rest HERE. ... [ Discover More ]

Hello BLogger Events Gold Coast Meet PART THREE

Just in case you missed it... PART ONE + PART TWO here! It feels like only yesterday we were all casually lounging about, sipping drinks, talking all things "blogs" and devouring chocolate covered banana lollies by the handful. The Hello Blogger Events Gold Coast trip was so fantastic I want to do it again next month let alone next year! After dinner at Hanazono Teppanyaki we headed upstairs to our flash apartment at Q1, put on a little music, tipped some chips in a bowl and poured some ... [ Discover More ]

Rainbow within Reach

Aidan is a colourful character and when he's not being a mr-bossy-cranky-pants like his mumma he's a lot of fun. He's not even two yet and he's morphed into a little boy I hardly recognise. I've been stopping a lot lately, pausing to smell his hair as we rock gently in the rocking chair reading his favourite books. Gazing at his tiny clothes and socks which seem to get dramatically bigger every time I do a load of washing.BabyLegs sent me some goodies in the mail a few weeks back, I'd always ... Hello Blogger Events Gold Coast Meet PART TWO

Just incase you missed it... PART ONEAfter spending most of the afternoon inspecting every inch of our stunning three bedroom apartment at Q1, we got all dressed up and headed down the ultra fast elevator to Hanazono Teppanyaki Restaurant. It has a really great feel to it with large communal tables as well a few private tables for parties like ours. Before we start talking about the yummy food we really have to touch on a few important factors like booze and frocks! Hanazono is currently BYO so a ... [ Discover More ]

Aidan loves to Dance

Mrs Woog's post about he 5 year old son Jack being denied entry into princess dance classes hit a nerve...Aidan is a boy, he's not quite 2 years old and he loves trucks, trains and planes. He rushes to the front of the house to watch the garbage truck come by and thankfully we live near a RAAF base because every afternoon we watch the planes fly by. He likes to get dirty outside and do gardening, it's his job to water the plants. He runs about playing with the dogs getting covered in drool and ... [ Discover More ]

Brighten My Day Giveaway

Just in case you don't remember, well over a month ago I was invited to the Benefit Cosmetics Skincare launch party and rocked it hard with Mrs Woog. We drank champagne, Woog did weird things to a cardboard poodle and we oogled the buff, half-naked waiter... good times! We also went home with a few full size products from the B.Right Radiance Skincare Range to try which was pretty awesome. I'd said in the previous post that I would give these babies a whirl and come back to you with my personal ... [ Discover More ]

Hello Blogger Events Gold Coast Meet PART ONE

When I flew into Brisbane last Friday night it was very much like home but a few degrees warmer. Dani dragged her husband out to meet me at the airport and we spent the rest of the evening dying our hair using the new L'Oreal Sublime Mousse box dye and trying to get baby Violet to go to sleep. The next day we woke up nice and early and headed to the markets with Dani's grandparents who were also visiting. The markets were great... if only my suitcase was bigger. Dani scored two super cute dressed ... [ Discover More ]

I must be dreaming

I'm pumped, it's been an awesome day! Aidan slept really well last night and we had a really nice relaxing day together then Steve came home early from work and I packed my bags to leave... not for good, just for the weekend. Hello Blogger Events is hosting a dinner on the Gold Coast and a few of my blogging besties and I are pimping it out hardcore at a lush apartment at Q1 overnight, I've been working on my swagger. I've packed way too many clothes for just two days but I don't care. My boys ... [ Discover More ]

My Kelly Moore Libby Camera Bag

Last year I bought invested in a fancy camera, a Nikon D700 and thanks have to be given to a mentor of mine Caspix for helping me to get over myself and my fears. For sitting on the phone with me for hours as I poured my heart out (essentially to a complete stranger) about my fears to commit to a very expensieve piece of equipment and the fear of my work not being valued as worth the financial risk.To cut a long story short, as you know I did buy the camera and it was ... Fresh Faced and Focused

I've done some culling, reading, hot tub soaking and written a lot of lists. There are things I want to achieve, goals I want to see realised and I'm on my way there. I've applied for an online position I'm crossing my fingers I get. I'm writing a few pieces for online and print publications as well as organising photo shoots and setting up a more effective post processing and storage work flow. I'm trying to manage my time better, I'm hopeless at it when I'm stressed. I've created a ... [ Discover More ]

Too Many Pixels

I'm free falling into words. I'm not even looking at the screen, just letting the words tip-type from my fingertips. My head aches and I feel dehydrated and dizzy.I want to sleep. It's been awhile since I've cried the way did today. Held in by the pressure of disappointment and the possibility of loss. I gripped so tightly my knuckles turned white and I felt nauseous. Everything in my body was encouraging me to stop. To pause. To breathe. To re-evaluate my goals. I ... [ Discover More ]

Yo Gabba Gabba at Sydney Opera House

Aidan loves music, I'd go so far as to predict that it will play a major part in his life whether it be personal or professional. My little dude can get down like the best of them, he's got brilliant rhythm and can belt out a tune, even in key most of the time! So when I saw that Yo Gabba Gabba would be in town performing at the Sydney Opera House I contacted the press office and asked if I could get tickets for their biggest fan (Steve) and they said yes! Aidan and I were pretty stoked that ... [ Discover More ]

Guava Hair

It feels like a million years ago that I was sitting in this chair but it was only back in March. I'd been researching hair straightening methods and options for months and I was determined to do something about my unruly locks. The team at Pierre Haddad Sydney, Guava Latino Hair Treatment and Wella decided it was time to work their magic. After a hair and scalp consultation I was ushered over to the most luxurious wash basin I have ever had the pleasure of sitting on. It reclines just like ... [ Discover More ]

Kid Tough Camera Giveaway

This post is sponsored by Nuffnang and Fisher-PriceI love cameras and so does Aidan. He's constantly trying to get his sticky little hands on mine but no way, it's too expensive. Fisher-Price was kind enough to send Aidan his very own Kid Tough Camera to try out, we were both excited when it arrived. The camera is designed for 3-7 year olds but he handled it really well. The buttons are nice and big and you don't need too much pressure to press them which is great for tiny fingers. It only took ... [ Discover More ]

Squeaky Clean Fun

This post is sponsored for Nuffnang Australia and VIVASo last week I shared with you the fact that I was letting the team down and not really pulling my weight around the house. Instead of pointing fingers and sulking Steve and I put our heads together and came up with a few solutions to make life at home a little sweeter. One challenge that stumped us was the bathroom but VIVA sent me a few packets of their new VIVA Shower Fast Wipes for me to try out that would hopefully stop our bathroom ... [ Discover More ]

Hello Blogger Events, Pocket Bar Sydney

Last night (from what I can remember) went really well. I hosted a Hello Blogger Events meet at Pocket in Darlinghurst, such a cool space with really yummy food and drinks but more on that later. We had a few RSVP's pull out at the last minute but those who did come were totally fabulous! We were really well taken care of and the chairs were oh so comfortable. The whole venue had a beautiful feel about it and the people there were pretty gorgeous too.Christina from Hair Romance doing ... [ Discover More ]

Bling Storage

I love accessories. In the past I'd always found it difficult to find nice clothes so I relied on necklaces and cute earrings to "carry" my outfits. Storing them had begun to be a problem, one that my husband was adamant I fixed... pronto. This is my getting dressed up area. The draws are filled with all steves stuff but everything on top and around it is mine. I love having a little area like Mrs Woog. All my bangles are kept in this cute little blue box... I loooooove bangles ... [ Discover More ]

Before I left with Aidan for Townsville the Hawkesbury Show came to town and I took Aidan by myself. One thing I was really looking forward to was taking Aidan on his first show ride. He LOVED it.He didn't like getting off.At all!He rode that little train 4 times and each time he went around the smile got bigger and wider.I told Steve he had to go with us next year, he'll be progressing up to the tea cups for sure!Check out the video, Aidan's watched it a million times. It took a lot to drag him ...
