Brighten My Day Giveaway

by Danimezza on June 22, 2011

Just in case you don’t remember, well over a month ago I was invited to the Benefit Cosmetics Skincare launch party and rocked it hard with Mrs Woog. We drank champagne, Woog did weird things to a cardboard poodle and we oogled the buff, half-naked waiter… good times!
We also went home with a few full size products from the B.Right Radiance Skincare Range to try which was pretty awesome. I’d said in the previous post that I would give these babies a whirl and come back to you with my personal opinion so here we are…
I love this lotion. It’s really light weight and sinks straight into my skin without leaving it feeling greasy. I use it on my face, neck and décolletage. The first night I tried it I put it on sitting up in bed just before I went to go to sleep. Steve rolled over and nuzzled into my neck and said I smelt really good. I forgot to put it on the next night and he said “Don’t forget to put that stuff on…” so now I can’t help but smile when I see the pretty little bottle on my bedside.
My Mum was my model as it’s quite difficult to take product photos of yourself. Here she is pumping out a squirt of lotion, you really don’t need much at all. I wear this every night and I will buy it in future. I could bore you with all the ingredient details (it does contain SPF 15+) in this post but you’d be better off checking out the Benefit website. All I’m doing here is sharing my experience, after all I’m not an expert but I am a consumer and a product junkie.
This is a really rich and thick cream and I tend not to use it on my face often as I have combination skin. I use it on my hands, forearms and elbows though, it’s dreamy. I did use it on my nose a couple of times when my skin was dry and pealing a little and it cleared it up almost over night. I generally only use it after I’ve exfoliated.
It’s really really thick and creamy, contains Mango Butter and smells so good. I don’t like mango but I love this. All these products live on my bedside table so Steves taken to using this one like a butter butter when giving me massages (I have a bad back) which is great because he loves the smell, my back doesn’t get slicked in regular massage oil and… well, I’m getting a massage so it’s all good. A little really does go a long way.
Brace yourself because this stuff is awesome! It fades dark circles and smooth fine lines. I’m only 25 but I know eye products are something to invest it. I slather this stuff all over my eyes, temple and brows every night without fail. Gently massaging the product in feels really good as I tend to furrow my brow a lot (like my father) and store most of my stress there. Also after focusing on the computer screen editing photography, blogging and creating graphics I get a little squinty even though I have recently tested 20/20 vision.
At hair expo the other week I got the chance to hang out with Christina from Hair Romance. We passed a booth giving away eye serum samples and she asked me if I wanted to try it then paused, looked at my eyes and “oh wow, you don’t need it! What do you use?“. It was such a random, flattering and honest compliment.
The jar is quite a reasonable size for an eye cream, in case you’re not aware eye creams come in a smaller portion because they contain less preservatives (which fend off bacteria) due to being put on such delicate and sensitive areas and you shouldn’t keep them in your cupboard for more than a few months. Eye creams just like mascaras and eyeliners have to be replaced regularly. I don’t care how expensive the eye cream is, conjunctivitis isn’t sexy so to help you replenish your stock Benefit Cosmetics are giving me THREE jars of “It’s Potent” Eye Cream to give away to my readers!!!
All you have to do is take a “Tired” self portrait showing me why your eyes need it most.
Email your photo to danimezzablog@gmail.com and include:
  • Attach your “Tired” photo… drr, important!
  • Your full name
  • Your postal address
  • Your contact number
Once you’ve sent me your photo leave me a comment below saying “Brighten My Day”.
You don’t need a fancy camera: use your smartphone, your webcam, your compact or your DSLR and get creative. There will be three winners, receiving one jar of eye cream each. All entrant photos will be published on Danimezza.com once the winner has been drawn so if you have a blog I’ll include your blogs name and the link too. No blog, no worries because anyone living in Australia is more than welcome to enter!
Competition is open to Australian Residents Only and only one entry is permitted per person. This is a game of skill and entries close Sunday 3rd July 2011 at 5pm AEST.
