Last night (from what I can remember) went really well. I hosted a Hello Blogger Events meet at Pocket in Darlinghurst, such a cool space with really yummy food and drinks but more on that later. We had a few RSVP’s pull out at the last minute but those who did come were totally fabulous!
We were really well taken care of and the chairs were oh so comfortable. The whole venue had a beautiful feel about it and the people there were pretty gorgeous too.
Christina from Hair Romance doing a spectacular bartender job. We ordered a few drinks and then hit the jugs… my my! I blame them for the fact that we don’t have a group photo, we were all just having too much fun to remember to take it!
I mean, we were having A LOT of fun!
Caitlin from Closet Confessions was a little weirded out by how many boobs there were.
I ordered a sweet crepe filled with strawberries, nutella, ice cream and whipped cream with fluffy meringue pieces and it was divine, I now have a new love of crepes!
Caitlin ordered a savoury crepe filled with prosciutto, burrata, cherry tomatoes and basil, she said it was delicious so you’ll have to take her word for it.
How’s this for “customer service”! None of the staff wore uniforms, just cool graphic tee’s like you’d find on threadless, everyone thought it was awesome.
It didn’t take long for the dress up box to make an appearance. I packed lots of different fancy-pants pieces, always a lot of fun.
It’s also when we all got a little camera crazy!
Prop-box is totally serious business you guys!

Christina and I before she had to dash off to another fabulous bash.
I got pretty sad, I love that girl. I hit the booze and got my groove back…
… and started to talk a lot with my hands whilst people pretended to know what I was going on about.
I also transformed into a full-blown camera-whore.
I love this photo of Caitlin and I. We’d spent the whole afternoon together getting ready and hanging out with her family, it was really nice and I felt a little like I was back in high school.
Just call me Dog… Camera Dog.
What’s a blogger meet without lots of tweeting, googling and the old Blogger Vs WordPress debate.
After much discussion we decided it was time to refill our glasses and get onto more important issues like sponsorship, the decline of engaging content and what drink to order next.
As you can tell we were all very happy with our choices.
After that everything got just a little more hazy…
… I played with my cocktail cherry a little too provocatively…
… and Rah got felt up but kinda liked it.
Tony (bless him) enjoyed all our foolery, didn’t run away in shame and was beyond sweet and funny.
Note: When you’re tipsy it can sometimes take more than one person to operate a camera.
Caitlin was a total doll and tweeted about the evening on her ipad as my phone was completely dead.
We were all having so much fun but it was time to go home but not before a few badly-lit outfit photos!
Caitlin’s cute ensemble featuring a leopard print skirt, green skinny belt, striped top, sequined bolero, silver harness chain, tights and cute suede boots.
Me wearing a black sheer top from the City Chic sales, my high waisted skinny jeans from City Chic, gold flats given to me by Amanda, bangles from City Chic, earrings from Diva and my awesome camera bag from Kelly Moore Bags. Tipsy smile courtesy of Pocket on 13 Burton Street, Darlinghurst.
Rah couldn’t help herself and posed for an outfit photo too the cute little minx… bend and snap! I loved her rainbow glass necklace, such a perfect representation of her blog.
Yep… it was definitely time to go home but don’t worry we’ve made plans to meet up again really soon and I can’t wait!
Thanks to Caitlin, Tony, Christina, Rah and Leigh for making it last night. It was wonderful to hang out, talk all things blogs and just get plain silly… I’m still kicking myself about no group photo!
