WeLoveColors sent me few pairs of tights to play around with as a way of saying thank you for telling you all: until 31/08/2011 they have FREE SHIPPING to Australia & New Zealand if you spend over $30 which basically means you can afford to splurge on an extra pair of tights!

With over 50 colours and assorted designs, fabrics and styles there are plenty to choose from… so far I have 6 pairs and my “want” list keeps getting longer. In this post I’m wearing Black & White Striped Tights #1202
I know it’s been awhile since I’ve done an outfit post and I have a million and one excuses as to why I haven’t done them but if I’m honest my heart wasn’t in it. As long time readers know my interests fluctuate from intensely passionate one minute to non-existent the next… it’s just the way I roll.
This morning was different. This morning I felt like dressing up so when the boy went down for his nap I put on a full face of make up (half the battle), turned my wardrobe upside down playing dress up and then tottered off into the front yard with my camera, tripod and a “strut-my-stuff” attitude. I’m wearing:
- City Chic Wrap
- Vintage White Lace Slip
- Crossroads Vinyl Panel Skirt
- Lovisa Fairy Necklace
- City Chic Belt
- City Chic Ring
- BigW Bracelets
- City Chic Patent Pumps
I played about with poses, giggled at myself and decided that I really missed doing these outfit posts. I missed blogging fashion. I didn’t like that I was reverting back to my old “comfy” jeans and packets of timtams as a replacement. Being involved in fashion was helping me lose weight believe it or not and I realised that in the weeks that I’d stopped, it was creeping back on. This is me, prancing around my front yard wearing striped tights, refusing to slip, keeping my heels firmly planted on the ground.
The team at WeLoveColors are extremely helpful, active on twitter and facebook and shipping is pretty fast. I have to say that whilst I love the look of these tights, I much prefer the Nylon/Lycra ones (style #1008, $15each) I’ve gotten in the past as these ones didn’t have as much stretch and the fabric wasn’t as soft. That said the stripes are a lot of fun, they’re thick, warm and would be great for costumes or just rockin’ out… plus they look damn fine in photos!
Do you miss the outfit posts?
