I’m renting this bad boy from a friend. They forked out $1k+, used it for 2 months and then revamped it by turning it into a very unattractive clothes hanger and dust catcher. I could see something similar happening to me so I never bought one, I went to the gym and used their fancy ones instead. Winter came around and I got lazy, I made excuses, I blamed the baby and paid for gym membership without having gone for 5 months. Last week I canceled my gym membership. This week I’m renting a treadmill for $30 a month with the option to buy it in installments if I like it. $1 a day is pretty good in my opinion and my friend gets a little cash on the side.
Typical blogger that I am, I just jumped off the treadmill and started writing this post. I feel good. So far I feel like I’ve made the right decision. Sure it kinda sounded like elephants were stomping about my house for an hour but I blame my chunky thighs and the old floorboards, not the treadmill. My aim is 30 minutes a day, anything else is a plus, it seems like an achievable goal with room for improvement. I set it up (actually Steve set it up) in my studio right next to my desk. I can look out the window, I can use it at 10pm (when I’m surprisingly the most active), I can pump my music without needing headphones, it’s out of Aidan’s way and it will be a constant reminder to get off my ass. Bloggers like sitting on their asses, it’s a fact.
