I haven’t done one of these for awhile, I’m not really sure why, maybe it had something to do with requests that I weed my garden before I take any more photos. That was never going to happen so the photos didn’t either but as I dressed up to spend the morning out shopping with my boys I thought why the hell not!
I’m wearing my new bargain dress that I picked up from Crossroads yesterday. If you were following me on facebook or twitter you would have seen the other things I scored. Here’s something you might not know, back in 2008-2009 I worked at Crossroads and got top sales person in the state several times and I only worked three hours a day, three days a week. I loved my job (well, the dressing people up part anyway) and I was good at it. I stopped working there when I found out I was pregnant with Aidan.
It’s a super soft burnt orange jersey dress with the nicest ruffle across the front and came with the most perfect tan skinny belt that will go with so many pieces in my wardrobe. Much better than any of the belts I’ve ordered from ASOS. At Crossroads I find the sizing a bit on the small size so I bought the size 22. The skirt of the dress is very flowy and doesn’t cling but just in case I wore slinky slippery knickers.
The bag is from TS14+, such a great bag. I can slip it over my shoulder with one hand and it’s deep enough to stash my big camera and all my stuff, or if I’m out with Aidan… all his stuff. I don’t use it everyday, just when I dress up or go to the shops and don’t want to look too casual with my canvas Target enviro carry all. I like the texture the braided rope gives my outfit too. My sunglasses are my favourite Witchery ones that I always wear, the bangles are from City Chic and my thongs are Havianas that are almost dead.
I kind of miss doing these, I’ve told Steve (as my official outfit photographer) that he needs to lift his game and bring it. I have so many lovely outfits that deserve to be shown off… he said I have to weed the garden first… *sigh*
