I fell in love with a pair of pants on the internet, this happens occasionally and is usually followed by a flood of doubt. Will they fit? If I bend over will they show my gorgeous crack? Will I get camel toe? You know, these are the big questions women ask themselves when they take the risk of buying pants online. Since I’m usually the one convincing you to buy all those pretty things on my Curvy Couture pinterest board I figured I should be the one to take a risk, to sacrifice my savings and let you know if they really were the ultimate bargain I believed them to be.
Turns out the Slim Leg Bengaline Cargo Pant from Autograph (which were $69.99 and are now down to just $19.99) were perfect. I looked at buying a pair online but shipping was $10 and since I had a store 15 minutes from my house it just seemed lazy so I bundled Aidan up and headed instore to try them on. I slipped on the size 20 and they fit like a dream, the rise was the perfect length at the front and back, my hips felt smoothed out and in general the pants felt fitted. Aidan and I may have jumped for joy in the change room, we’re excitable like that.
I love the detail in the pockets with all the zips and buttons, I also like that they’re not bulky or add weight to my already chunky thighs. The cut at the ankle is really flattering and slim enough to slip into a pair of boots or slip on flats or even little ankle booties like me. I have a feeling these are going to be some very well worn pants over winter.
I’m wearing my beloved City Chic Killer Sequin Jacket, my brand new pink top (actually a PJ top) from Target, my new Skinny Cargo Pants from Autograph and my new Bilson Suede Ankle Boots from Ts14+. Do you like the new backdrop? It’s a bit harder to bounce about now that I’m inside but I’ll still be taking my signature silly style photos. Hopefully taking my outfit photos inside from now on, will stop me from making excuses during the wet and dreary winter months. oh and I’d love to know if you grab a pair of these awesome $20 pants!
