This week it’s all about Leggings and aren’t these total crackers! I’m loving the floral pant/legging trend at the moment, if you look in any magazine you’ll see them. I wasn’t sure if I could pull them off but since I have an undying love of florals it was a risk I was willing to take. I paid $24.95 for this pair at Crossroads last week, I’m wearing a size XXL to fit my ample booty. They do go all the way to your ankle but I hitched them up as I liked the current crop look, especially when worn with high shoes.
The problem was that after I bought the tights home I had to figure out what I was going to wear with them! I could have easily teamed them with a big black oversized tee but I wanted add even more colour so I took my inspiration from the colour palette on the tights. Pink, orange and deep reds. I pulled my old Katies orange waterfall cardi out from the back of my wardrobe and one of my favourite Lovisa statement necklaces covered in red and pink stones. The chunky black ring is from City Chic.
To streamline the look and to tie everything together I wore a tank dress that I got awhile back from Crossroads. There is a similar one on ASOS for $26 which is worth a look. I tried wearing a skirt and singlet top but it distracted from the leggings and added unnecessary bulk to my hips. The waterfall cardi added movement and softness to the outfit which I liked as it took attention away from my tummy.
I’m wearing Caitlin’s Studded Jeffery Cambell Wedges and I’m so in love with them that it’s kind of silly. I borrowed them whilst we were in NYC and they made me feel super fabulous… there is just something about a big flashy shoe isn’t there. Unfortunately after these photos were taken she took them home with her. Caitlin came out to my house last week to hang out so we played dress ups and she took this week’s photos for me and I took hers, too much fun!
So there you go, me in all my floral leggings glory. I have to say that since these photos were taken I’ve worn the leggings out twice with a long tunic top… never as pants, they’re just super comfy and just a little bit flashy. I also wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone playing along each week. Next weeks theme is “RED”. The response to the Aussie Curves challenge has been amazing, it’s been made clear (in a big way) that bloggers and readers alike have been craving for something like this for awhile now, I’m kicking myself for not doing it sooner!

Loving your leggings (say that 3 times quick!). You’re on trend and look fabulous in all that colour. Caitlin’s shoes are great. Love ‘look at me’ shoes! I wonder if those leggings come in teal shades? Off to find out.
Yes I think I need a few more pairs of “look at me” shoes. The leggings only come in this colour unfortunately I would have liked a few different colours.
You look stunning! I totally love those leggings! It’s amazing that this very colourful cardigan really renders the outfit complete, I probably wouldn’t have dared myself to go for such boldness ^^°. Guess it’s noticeable that the Southern Hemisphere is gradually approaching Spring and here the days are quickly getting shorter again (duh).
Yep, somehow the bright bold cardi just works with the leggings, it’s pretty mad.
I have so many pairs of floral leggings but I never wear them, I’m totally rethinking that now after seeing how amazing you look in yours. Thanks for the awesome challenge Dani xxx

Love it, but it does make me a little sad. My poor leggings will never look this good. That orange cardie just does something extraordinary for them! It’s big and bold and wonderful, the whole thing. LOVE IT.

Claire ALL my leggings were black, brilliant brilliant black but I wanted to push myself, this IS a challenge after all so I ducked out and bought them… nothing to say you can’t do the same x

Ohh! I keep looking at those leggings and debating getting them, they are quite fabulous. I love that cardi and you look STUNNING in orange! I love JC shoes, they are always amazing, I have 4 pairs, I think and I could pretty much own 18380713 if I could afford them!
There are some other mad prints too, including animal which isn’t really my style but I know you can rock them :)

lol it never hurts to have a little bit of fun and not take it all too seriously. I wish I could claim the shoes as my own but alas they’re borrowed from someone with greater shoe appreciation than me :)

I did walk past them. I’d tried them on the week before but didn’t buy them, thinking they were too loud. I went home and couldn’t stop thinking about them so I went back lol.
