Today I somehow remembered (in between doing the laundry and ordering last minute business cards) that I needed to get my eyebrows and lashes done so I called my lady in a panic. Rachel from Celeste Visage (in South Windsor NSW) is an absolute doll and always fits me in. We have boys the same age and love getting together to chat about beauty/kids/husbands/business/etc. Whilst I was getting my eyes done she asked if I’d like to try out her brand new whitening system… sure!
Now you’re probably looking at my teeth going “Oh they’re not that bad” but I’m personally conscious of them. I maybe even photoshop them in outfit posts. My weird hormone levels play havoc with my lower gums which in turn effects the enamel of my teeth despite regular dentist visits. I couldn’t afford the $700+ for professional teeth whitening even with private health insurance so in the past I’ve relied on whitening pens, strips and toothpaste. Some have been ok, some have been crap.
Celeste Visage have the Bleach Bright teeth whitening system which can lighten your teeth 2-8 shades lighter in just 20 minutes. I was nervous as my gums and some of my teeth are so sensitive plus I have important jobs and networking events all this week. My vanity made the decision for me, the chance to try teeth whitening at a price anyone can afford… worth the risk.
How much? Well it’s all self administered for a start so that cuts a lot of the cost. By doing it in the salon I’m able to use the high powered, patented blue light which increases the potency of the whitening. Celeste Visage currently charges $99.00 AUD for the treatment. You get everything you need for that price with nothing more to pay.
So what happens during the treatment? You get comfortable in the chair, give your teeth a once over with the little finger tip cleaning pad and then put your teeth in the mouth guard which is already pre-filled with the bleach-goop.
Once that’s done you pop on some sexy dark tinted glasses, the light is then positioned comfortably in front of your mouth and you sit back and relax. You stay there for 20 minutes with your mouth full of goop and a blue light in your face. It’s not too bad. The first five minutes seemed to last forever until I got used to it. Looking back it took hardly any time at all. Seriously, you could get it done in your lunch break.
I kind of look like I’m making out with a skinny alien, don’t I?
The result after just 20 minutes left me 4-5 shades lighter. I was immediately impressed which is why I’m writing this post straight after it all happened. I’m so unbelievably keen to tell you all about it. Again, the difference will probably seem greater to me than anyone else but in the end my opinion is the one that matters. I’m so pleased with my new pearlers. I should note I’m not wearing a scrap of make up and I didn’t do my hair. I had to quickly run home and get my camera and rush back to the salon.
As for my sensitive gums and teeth, no issue. The guard pushed on parts of my gum which was uncomfortable but the whole point of it was to help keep my mouth open and wide so that was always going to suck but after a few minutes I got used to it. Final Verdict: I’m excited by the result and I’ll be doing it again.
Have you ever whitened your teeth?
