For the past few months I’ve been busy behind the scenes organising a charity fundraising event. Last year I hosted a Curvy Clothes Swap and it was awesome, basically an excuse to get together with my girls and party. The money I raised from that event went towards Girls Night In, a fundraiser anyone can be apart of.
The event was so successful and so much fun that I decided I wanted to do it again this year, but bigger so Plus Size Fashion Weekend Australia was born. For the past six months I’ve been planning an extravaganza for my VIP guests and let me tell you there were a lot of highs and lows along the way, event planning and management is not for everyone. I’m excited to have bloggers flying in from all over the country and finally get some of my Aussie Curves girls together in person.
All weekend, from now until Sunday morning, keep an eye on facebook, instagram and twitter for sneak peeks into the event. You can check out the #PSFWA feed and www.psfwa.com for more information on what we’re up to. If you can spare a few dollars I’d really appreciate if you could:
I’ve already raised over $1000 and I’m hoping that my lovely readers will help contribute. Girls Night In is special to me because not only does it raise money for Breast Cancer but also for Gynaecological Cancer, you can read about my nasty brush with that here. I was 17 and I firmly believe that pap smears can save your life.
So now I’m off to party with my girls for the weekend and be insanely busy… I can’t wait!
