Lazy Girl Backyard Party

Stephanie was moping around the house earlier today, complaining of boredom. It was hot outside and we were both too lazy to actually go out and do something so I grabbed the outdoor umbrella, a couple of tables, cushions and rugs and set up a little lazy girl party in the backyard just for the two of us. Obviously we had some snacks, cool drinks, a big pile of magazines to read and some sunscreen to slop on.

Steph has been paying me out for how white I am, you could almost say I am translucent or just rocking the “Moon Tan” as some people might say. My little sister, well she’s a sun soaker but a smart one. She got the cute little bikini top at Big W last week and I’m totally jealous. I still haven’t got a bikini yet, I’m looking for just the right high waisted set.

Meanwhile I rocked the Kaftan. This beauty is from Tree Of Life and is under $30, light, colourful and has sequins… HELLO!!! Yes, I was only in my backyard but that didn’t mean I couldn’t style it up a bit. Fun sunnies, dangly earrings and lots of lovely cushions to lounge on.

Even my nails matched!

I decided to glam it up even further and wear my Medallion One Piece from Sorella Swim. I don’t normally wear a halter but it was perfect for sun soaking, tan lines be gone!

It wasn’t long before Aidan woke up from his nap and joined us for a little picnic. Soon the food was gone and he and Charlie took turns running in and out of the shell pool and Steph and I were left smelling like wet dog. It was a lot of fun though and I’m glad we took a little girlie time out for ourselves.
