Wow, I can’t believe we’re already at 26 weeks, halfway through the challenge! This week’s theme is purple and at first I was positively stumped, I had no idea what I would wear. I like purple, I appreciate purple but I just don’t find myself wearing it very often. I recently thrifted a silky purple skirt but I’ve already featured it on AC so I was determined to shop my wardrobe and come up with something new… well this is definitely different!

- Magenta Miami Dress – Eliza Parker
- Fringed Printed Robe – Tree Of Life
- Bling Drop Earrings – Alex Perry for Diva
- Crystal Necklaces – Target gifted
- Crystal Ring – City Chic
- Woven Wedges – Target

I got Stephanie to take these photos just moments before I had to take her to the airport which is why I’m not in a really smiley mood. She’s only been gone for a few hours but my house feels like it has a big gaping hole. I’ll miss her. I’m also missing New York which was the last place where I got to wear this gorgeous fringed robe. You can’t appear overdressed in NYC but you definitely can in Windsor. It’s one of my ultra special pieces.

Lets talk for a minute about this dress. I ordered in almost two years ago from Eliza Parker when there was a sale on and I ordered a size or two too big. I was just starting to online shop and figured it was better to go bigger but the cut was so generous and I hadn’t really got my head about the international sizing differences. It’s still way too big, see the extra fabric I’ve tried to tuck in under the bust and the ties at the sides are done up as tight as they will go. It would be great on a size 24-26, maybe even a 28. I’ve never worn this dress but I just had to for this challenge. I think I’ll be selling it, it’s too gorgeous to just sit in my closet any longer.

Back to the robe… *sigh*… I bought it from Tree of Life just before I left for New York last year. It was $79 if I remember correctly and I wasn’t sure how I was going to make it work into an outfit but I knew I had to have it. I feel ridiculously bohemian, sensual and pretty whenever I wear it. I lust over Camilla pieces but I just don’t have the budget, with pieces like this I can still get the same feel without the price tag. A lot of the clothing in Tree of Life is One Size Fits All but I’d probably cap that at a 22. I urge you to go in store, try things on and if you don’t leave with a bedazzled kaftan I’ll be surprised.

Looooove the fringed robe! And that purple dress is stunning. Shame about the sizing issue. That is my favourite kind of neckline. Very flattering.
