In November last year I hosted my very first charity fashion event and I still can’t quite believe that it happened. Just like New York, it was so intense I wasn’t quite sure how to write my posts about it. Fifteen plus size fashion bloggers from all over Australia were invited to attend a weekend away in Sydney in a fabulous Meriton World Tower Penthouse with an array of fashion and beauty activities to keep them amused. The event was also classed and a Girls Night In, raising money for women’s cancers including Cervical Cancer, something close to my heart. This week I’ll be sharing some of the fun we had that weekend, some moments I’ll never forget.

It’s Friday the 16th of November, the car is packed full of all the crap I need to pull this off and I feel like I’m about to vomit. My sister Stephanie’s sitting in the backseat squished between all the bags, my little Kia Sportage fits in everything perfectly. Suger is in the front seat blasting tunes. We have to drive over an hour into the city and meet up with Olivia and Jeanie at the Benefit Cosmetics Boutique in Paddington.
I love this place, it’s like my own little candy store. We park the car around the corner and head inside, ready to be pampered, plucked and preened. A few of the girls are already there and busy getting all glammed up. After a bad night’s sleep, a manic morning of packing and a traffic-filled drive all I want to do is have a nap but I know I need some serious work done…
Yep, I’m a stunner alright! No make up, frizzy crazy hair and eyebrow tint is on working it’s magic.
We all stand about laughing at how ridiculous we look and take a million selfies.
It wasn’t all just fun and games either, we learnt how to properly shape our brows.

Some of us were even sent to Brow Rehab. By the way, I have that book it’s brilliant.
It was serious business.
Then we marvelled at the final result.
Once our brows were tamed it was time to play!
We tried as many things as we could, there was so much on offer!

Then we were given a gift bag each with a few hidden surprises!

Love! Gorgeous photos {no..that eyebrow tint isn’t scary, why do you ask? Lol, I got a fright, I hadn’t read that it was a tint and I was all “WTF did they do to Dani’s brows!!?!?!??!”. NTS: READ THE FINE PRINT, LISS}.

This weekend was the best. So much awesomeness in just a few days. I loved visiting Benefits. I have been using their samples and the products I bought. ADORE!! They’re awesome.
