Aussie Curves – Swimwear

There’s something about swimwear that gets women all choked up but for me these days I just slap the stuff on, adjust the girls and go. This is not the first time the internet has seen me in a pair of togs and I’m sure it wont be the last. I’m not a Victoria’s Secret model, a pin up babe or an attention seeker, I just show no fear. This isn’t something that’s come naturally, I’ve had to slowly break down my own preconceptions. I assumed that my body had to look a certain way for me to feel validated whilst wearing swimwear. No one needs validation in swimwear… it’s just swimwear. Pieces of cloth to cover your bits to keep some mystery in the world.

Of course I’d love to be rocking a leaner toned bod but I haven’t put in the effort to have that kind of “result” so the soft plumpness that is me is all there is for today but surely that body, my body, still deserves some stretchy cloth, some sunshine and a dip in the water. Don’t wait until “perfection”… just be.
