Sephora Ships to Australia via Tarazz

sephora

Towards the end of last year one of my friends who works for Tarazz.com.au told me a little secret… that they would become the platform for shipping Sephora products to Australia! For people in the know, for people who have stepped inside Sephora’s glossy doors of awesomeness this was HUGE news. Do you have any idea how hard it was to keep my mouth shut?!

I was given a $100 giftcode by Tarazz to buy whatever I liked. It took me THREE MONTHS to decide on what I wanted to order, how insane is that! I just kept trawling through the site and becoming overwhelmed. I wasn’t paid for this post, I wasn’t even asked to blog about it but I’ve loved the process and wanted to share my experience.

box

On the 27/01/13 I placed my order and 16 days later a package arrived at my PO Box so that alone made me happy, I hate packages being delivered to my house, there’s always a risk involved that I’m not home to receive it or worse still it gets shoved into my letterbox or some ass hat steals it. Anyway, the box arrives, it’s not squashed and has plenty of paper inside so nothing is damaged.

The packaging looks just as it would if I’d pulled it off the shelf myself. The shipping costs are calculated as you add things to your cart, there are no flat fees. Shipping cost me $22.95 total and to some that might be a bit much but when I can save $10+ on high quality lipstick I’m not complaining. If you do plan on ordering just make it worthwhile and buy several items or more at a time.

lip

What did I order? Well my girlfriend Dani once had a lip palette which she adored (sadly her baby girl destroyed played with it one day) so I’d had my eye open for a nice one for myself. I wanted something simple with a small range of colours that I could keep in my handbag. The Sephora+Pantone Universe Precious Foil Lipstick Palette $27.50 looked perfect. Simple nudes, flush pinks and soft reds. The big mirror will definitely come in handy when I have to slap my face on when I’m on the train city bound.

fuchsia

As you know I’m in lust with my Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge Red so I wanted to expand my collection and add some pink. I normally wear Dior Addict lipsticks because they have strong pigment and are buttery soft like gloss but sometimes you need lip colour with a bit of staying power. I ordered Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense #9 $20.90 (in Australia $36.00) and Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lip Liner Pencil Fuchsia $19.80 (in Australia $26.00) and I feel a fetish coming on. This stuff is just so good. At the time of writing this I’ve had it on for over 5 hours, I’ve eaten lunch, had drinks and I haven’t needed to reapply. So good.

lashes

I wanted to spend exactly $100 to really see how far I could make it go and once I’d added the lip stuff to my cart there wasn’t much left over to play with. I viewed the selection “from lowest price” and stumbled across this nifty little thing. I’m going to start by telling you that I have big hands thanks to my Dad’s side of the family so sometimes doing fiddly little things like applying lashes drives me insane. I really think it’s going to help make the whole process a lot quicker, once I get the hang of it I’ll make a video. Oh it’s Sephora Collection Bulls Eye Lash Applicator $13.20 and it put me over budget by $4.35 but I couldn’t care less.

stash

My cart total, including shipping came to $104.35 and thanks to my voucher I only had to pay $4.35. I’m extremely pleased with my haul, even without the voucher I would be. I saved money, got good quality make up and unfortunately for my bank balance a new addiction. Tarazz has heaps of other brands on board too, Dorothy Perkins and Walmart definitely have my attention. Oh and don’t worry I’ve told my friend they have to work on securing Lane Bryant, Forever21, Torrid… lol I’m on it ladies x

Do you order make up online?

Do you love Sephora as much as me?

Oh, I think this may be trouble for my bank balance! I’ve ordered make up online before, sometimes it works out cheaper. I’m so excited to FINALLY be able to buy some things from Sephora!

I’m still a devoted purchaser from strawberrynet.com The price we pay in Oz for high end brands is obscene, so I usually stock up when I travel to Asia. Picked up some Benefit Erase Paste, Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palette, Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner and Mac pencil eyeliner for a fraction of the cost when I was in Thailand at Christmas.

Thanks Thuy, I’m glad you enjoyed the post. As for the code I personally know the digital community manager for Tarazz and it was a gift.
