Last Thursday Aidan and I ventured into Sydney for an event. Usually I go to these things alone but I was excited to bring Aidan along for the day. He just loves to go on “adventures” with me on the train into the big city. He slipped his shoes on, grabbed his hat, clipped on his backpack and was ready to go.

We arrived at Custom House in Circular Quay bright and early ready for a fun morning out. Aidan ran up the steps, turned around and asked me to take a photo so Dadda could see his adventure. He really does love instagram as much as I do.

We were greeted at the door by the team from Arnotts as well as Chef Adam Moore who prepared all the treats we were about to devour. I’d said to Aidan before we walked in “Be polite and say “Hello my name’s Aidan” and shake their hand.” and that’s exactly what he did. He was such a gentleman and my heart burst with pride. My little man can work an event like nobodies business.

We were invited along with a few other bloggers to Customs House to celebrate the last stop of the Tim Tam Tour Bus. There were games and activities for the public to partake in to win packets of Tim Tams in all the yummy new flavours. We watched them all from the balcony, the lines grew with men in business suits, people in gym gear and even little kids.

We got to meet Adriano Zumbo and I was so nervous and speechless I didn’t really know what to say. If I’d tried it would have probably come out like “You cook good yum stuff.” thankfully Aidan was a great distraction. Often I feel so overwhelmed meeting professionals like Zumbo that I feel guilty knowing someone else out there would give their left arm for the opportunity. On the topic of sweet perks, here is what we had for brunch…

Fresh Fruit Platter

Summer Omelette

Turkish Delight Tim Tam Mini Muffins

Double Vanilla Tim Tam Bircher Museli with Yogurt, Honey & Raspberries

Original Tim Tam Pancakes with Whipped Cream and crushed Original Tim Tams

Honeycomb Tim Tam Yogurt Parfait
It was a wonderful morning and I loved that I could share it with Aidan. I love getting into the city for events, mingling and meeting new people, discovering new products and getting all dressed up but the part I love the most, is capturing the moments and telling you all about them. I hope you enjoy my recounts, the photographs and way too many selfies just as much as Aidan loved the Parfait… you know, he asks for flowers in his breakfast now.

LisaW recently posted..Turning those home decor dreams into reality…plus, your chance to win a Target gift card!
I know, so dangerous but that’s what treats are all about. That experience will never happen again so Aidan and I dived right in, sharing and sampling together.
I agree with Lisa… now I think i have no option but to go and buy tim tams. too many flavours!!!!
Aidan is the most handsome little guy ever! That parfait makes me want flowers in my breakfast!!
It surprised me but my favourites were Turkish Delight and Double Choc Vanilla. Aidan picks flowers at school now and puts them in his lunch box… was hard to explain to his teachers lol.
