So I had planned for my Androgynous photos to be taken at the Aussie Curves meet up on Saturday but I forgot how many I’d need and I felt awkward asking Jo to take them for me. I also figured posting just one photo when you’re so used to “the many angles of me” wouldn’t fly so when I was out photographing Ainsley today I asked her if she wouldn’t mind taking a few of me.

This is probably the most butch I’ve ever looked. I did nude make up with some contouring, no lipstick or stain. I missed the bold lip, the thick lashes and the dusty hue of blush on my cheeks. I look like I did at 17. I never wore make up, or at least not well. I never wore feminine clothes, sticking to jeans and singlet tops and black was my safe colour. My hair was almost always slicked back like this as it was always so hot in the Territory and I hated my hair in my eyes. That’s what I love about the Aussie Curves challenges, each week I discover more and more about my own personal style and be reminded that when it comes to fashion to just have fun!
