Belts have a way of highlighting the shape of a woman. The right belt can make or break an outfit. I have a few favourites that I could never part with and this is one of them. It’s big, bulky and awesome. It feels like a mini corset and to be completely honest it makes me feel like a total badass. Mix up that vibe with something I’m a little more used to like glittery gems, sequins, silky satin and you’ve got an outfit that’s completely me.

I have big thighs, a big perky butt, big arms and a matching set of big breasts. Between my equally big hips and bust resides a little waist, always two sizes smaller than the rest of me. It’s usually hidden by my boobs so I like to define it by wearing a belt and the more awesome it is the better!
Once I went over a size 16 I found it really difficult to find belts that fit my hips. I grew up in a bush town where everyone wore jeans or shorts so the idea of wearing a belt around your waist seemed ridiculous. Better still, wearing a belt at the waist, over a long un-tucked shirt… well that’s just madness! Appeal to your own aesthetics when it comes to your choice in fashion and if you want to use a belt to highlight your waist or even just to create an illusion of one, be bold and go for it.
