I’m not really a heels girl. Ok, that’s I lie. I think they’re the most beautiful, perfect posturing things for your feet but they’re also the most painful. I’m not in a habit of conditioning myself into believing that heel induced pain is ok so when I do buy them they usually stay in the box for years, occasionally popping out to play for a sit down dinner or a photo shoot.

I’m a 9.5W which can make buying shoes tricky, most of the time I buy a 10 or a 10W and custom fit the shoes with padded heel grips and insoles. It’s a pain, they slip about and I feel awkward. This pair from Williams a few years ago was the first in a very long time where I could just walk in, try them on and buy them. They still fit perfectly but they’re quite hard. I’m becoming increasingly aware that I prefer leather shoes and that I’ll have to start investing.
They have a chic sheen to them, glittery without flaking bits of glitter everywhere. The heel height is perfect for me, not too high and not too low. I also bought them for $29.95 on sale so still one of my favourite heels. I thought I’d sold or donated them until I recently found them stashed right at the back of my wardrobe so I thought it was the perfect occasion to prance about in them.
